What a great look into an amazing industry. You guys deserve every dollar you make (and I hope it’s good). Viz is brilliant for the depth but that must be the exception.
Cool work
I was there, Brown & Root. M barge series.
Great insight 👍🏾
Hello Charles... Can we have permission to take screenshots of your video for training purposes?
Hello! Yes, you have my permission. Thank you for asking and I'm very glad to help you with my video contents. Good luck !
Astronautas de las profundidades. Bravo.
Hi
Does someone wanna explain to me, why Astronauts dont use a similar air/gas delivery system? Seems like it would be very beneficial to have a good tether/air delivery system in space ha.
Man those waters are beautiful. Perfectly clear. Anyone know what part of world they're in? Some of those divers, dive really nasty looking green water that you can barely see in.
Unique work place in a cramped space. Best wishes for you all. Thank you for all the things you do.
Che mese di mer.. però. Spero vi paghino li milioni
I do my first commercial Dive with Alessandro , in 2004 and my first sat in Angola with Fabrizio in 2008 I can't believe they still going in Sat and how small world , the fact you work with them so funny, I live in the USA and I work for Oceaneering now I left Europe & European companies in 2011 never worked again with CNS they give hard time to pay divers..
Classic sat team... One guy that's always cracking jokes, singing and probably screwing with his mates the whole time, the young, serious guy (Gucci diver :). and the quiet but totally solid guy😁
I'm sorry, I'd have a hard time not laughing the whole time I'm on the job.
What sort of money would you make a year for this.
Hi. Mind well, hellium its a gas who come from uranium depisits. Check this out with Google. Grazie ragazzi.
My dad worked for McDermott in the late 80 as a saturation equipment foreman. He took care of all the equipment the divers used.
Can someone please explain the helium aspect of this video ? Are they constantly breathing helium ?
Yes. I believe they add helium to lower the density of oxygen and nitrogen. Its a gas mixture. Too much Oxygen at depth becomes toxic. Too much Nitrogen and you get loopy. I believe they add helium to lower the density of oxygen and nitrogen. There are different gas mixtures for different depths.
How does the gas mix work? Do you slowly add more O2 until about 20% or do you have a preset deco mix? Also, isn't heliox replaced with air before the chamber is unsealed, since He is expensive they sure want to retrive it
dude this is my dream job im on my way to getting in i just need my hours for the course
Just when you think that spacewalks are dangerous...
Oh hell no
Si respira una miscela di ossigeno ed Elio, il nitrox? Per quello ha la voce stridula?
Are those checks randomized? Do they ask you those questions in different orders every time, so you don’t develop a habit?
The true Cowboys of the Sea. Commercial Divers Aquanauts Rock on!
What's it like to boil water in there? I heard the higher the pressure the higher the boiling point, also can you melt dry ice in there? (If the pressure is higher than 5 atm)
Watching this I feel the term "diver" needs to be changed to "aquanaut" :D
The guy singing in helium voice was pretty amusing. It was really hard to understand them, even to what language is was (Italian?). So if youre a sat diver and used to hearing helium voice for so long, when you finally enter normal atmosphere and gas, do normal voices sound really weird for a little bit?
Is it just me or does the water at the hatch look weird and soupy? Pressure is wild!
How do saturation divers get waken up? Do u guys set ur own alarms?
there voices off that helium haha
What ships that?
Another femininist free working enviroment.
Does the air feel different? Do little toy parachutes work better? Paper airplanes? I have so many questions.
9:30 Why is it you stand here when the bottom door hatch is opening? I like to think theres a reason for everything you do
Stay safe brother
@charlesmoura226 Hello there, what is the age limit for diving school? I’m 37
Its a good job!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻
How long is the decompression time from that depth?
None of my working dives ever had that nice of water.
Cool guys. I was planning this career when I was 16 but you have to have a very strong character tough but rewarding work. Respect. But I do dive all year in Denmark at 67 so doing my best. Temp 0c coldest Hugs to you hard working lads
why is the bell not on the sea floor ? In rough water does a automatic winch keep the bell at certain depth ? or bell man get sea sick
was looking for a vid that showed this content. Thx very much.
0:45 this is my favorite part! And the flips too of course! Not quite sure what the proper descriptor would be here but I’ll go with MESMERIZING ☺️ Thank you for sharing your underwater world,!
I haven't touched anything
Translate that right
I wouldnt be able to keep a straight face because of the helium!! Sounds hilarious. Not to mention the sheer insanity of going somewhere humans aren't meant too.
My fear besides gear failing or losing contact with your main ship you get stuck there but …. What else is down there? The men that do these types of jobs are something else.
In the 70s it used to be A LOT more dangerous than it is today. A few horror stories on YT about commercial diving accidents in the 70s. Lets just say, they didnt care about safety nearly as much back then. One guy fairly recently had his umbilical severed and was stuck/lost outside the bell for almost an hour. Crazy stuff. If your interested in it, there was a doc/movie on netflix about it called "Last Breath". Pretty cool watch.
What do these guys do for drinking water when bottom time is 6 hours?
Didn't know the lolipop guild was this rad
