Hi! Are these airtight? I’ve had tupperwares leak creamy food in my backpack on the way to work and it’s a nightmare to wash… Also, are the fabric bags for the bentos just fabric, or are they water resistant to some degree?

Hello, thanks a lot for choosing monbento. We regret to learn that you have difficulties with your MB Square. Here are some tips for closure/opening : When you hold the container tight, it has a tendency to tighten it and thus increase the difficulty of opening. Remember to open the silicone tab before opening to allow air to escape, otherwise the pressure will be blocked inside. On the other hand, it is easier to open it in the corner and laying it flat. If the product is new, this should soften over time. In case of need, you can contact our after sales service at contact@monbento.com
It's not easy to open at all!!!! Even with the seal open.
Hi Anna, we recently uploaded more videos to help with that. We advice to grab the corner of the intermediate lid to make it easier to open. Let us know if you need further help.

I am a bit ashamed to say that, but I'm 35 and I bought it for myself since I need a smaller box with 3 compartments, this just works so much better for me than the big 1000 ml box. Happy about it :)

Im about to do the same. For me if pack rice meal it is more than enough for adult. I have adult bento size that is smaller than this.😅

I just got the square version, but I must say opening the lid is reall difficult because its soo tight. I guess time will do the trick.

@@subspace2913 up until now I've always used it for cold meals. The insulation is alrigh, but obviously the MB square's main function isn't to keep your meal at a certain temperature.
Before opening open the little seal. It should do the trick. The tightness is what prevent the leaking actually. Also for meal to stay warm for up to 3h I think (it may be more) they have special bebto for that. It's circular.
