For my birthdays my dad would always bake me cupcakes and me and him would always go outside and play all sorts of fun game together. I never had a mom in my life. It was always just me and him against the world! But when I was 12 years old he died of a heart attack. I was so depressed and I felt all alone all time, I couldn’t even get out of bed because of my thoughts keeping me held hostage. I lived with my uncaring grandmother who was very strict and rude to everyone. When I turn 13 my first birthday without my dad, everyone forgot about it and I was left alone… Instead my cousin had a birthday on the same day so we went to his. I know it’s selfish but… why can’t they celebrate my birthday too.

Craziest part is that the people who hurt you didn’t really hurt YOU. They hurt a smaller, more vulnerable version of you. Like look at a picture of yourself when you were tiny and try to fathom how someone could sit there and treat you that way. Blows my mind.
