Divine Beast Dancing Lion RL1 NG+7 DLC+ No Blessings Torch only
Last time I fought Bayle who gets no increase to his HP in DLC+ and this time I fight the boss that gets the most increase to it's HP in DLC+ out of all the Rememberance bosses.
It's kind of funny how they decided to put two of the three hardest bosses in the DLC (Dancing Lion and Rellana) as your most likely first major boss encounter in this DLC.

I believe this boss has the most HP out of any Fromsoftware boss at about 83k HP (including the pre-fight phase) on NG 7 DLC . I actually think this fight is pretty good even though from what I have been told people generally don't like this fight. There's actually quite a funny glitch(?) in this fight if you stagger him during the start up animation of his charge move once he regains control the charge will happen as if the start up animation already took place so he can do an Oceiros style insta-charge after the stag...

The Torch is actually quite good here against this boss since this boss is very weak to fire damage and is also quite weak to strike damage; the only bad thing about the Torch is that it cannot riposte so I'm forced into fighting phase 2 and 3 from full HP. This one only took me about 3 hours to get which was a pleasant surprise I thought this one would take longer. Despite this being possibly the best boss in the DLC and Elden Ring as a whole I don't have much to say about him since he is just a good boss that doesn't really have anything wrong with him.

This one only took me about an hour to do. The only hard attack to dodge is if she starts rolling from a distance in which you have to time a pretty precise roll through her and then jump away over the centipede swing at the end. Overall I liked this fight even if it's not the most interesting boss in the DLC.

Amazing as always, How do you rate this fight?
Probably a 4/10. There are just too many things I don't like about the boss like the lightning in phase 2 and the camera in some instances to give it a higher rating.
I spent over 10 hours on this boss on what would have been my first RL1 of the DLC and i am still going
You are crazy.
I have a problem with this boss, sometimes when he uses his straight fire breath attack (breathes fire in a straight line at you), some of the flames end up ricocheting off the ground and not following the straight path, instead flying more to the left or right. I always get hit by those flames. This happens specially if he starts the fight with that attack, doesn't matter if I run to the side or spam dodge, I always get hit. How do you consistently dodge that attack?
If he does it at the very start of the fight I'm not sure if there is a consistent way to avoid it. I have managed to dodge it once when he did it at the start of the fight by first sprint jumping to the left and then spam roll to the left immediately after but I'm not sure if that method is consistent.
@@Xerieh Same jank with Godrick and fire giant's fire attacks. Dunno why they decided to make the fire attacks ricochet off objects in this game.

Rykard has 158580 hp on ng+7, Elder Dragon Greyoll also has 122851 hp Ghostflame Dragons in dlc also have more than 80000 hp
Interesting, I didn't think Rykard had that much HP. The Ghostflame Dragons having that much HP sounds like a nightmare especially that one that summons minions in phase 2.
@@Xerieh The Ghostflame Dragons are Undead just like the Deathbirds, if you play "normally" you can kill them very fast if you use Last Rites + any weapon buffed with sacred order on left hand and spam Inseparable Sword skills even at RL1 NG+7 no blessings

Why in DotN i can't burst counter his frontal assault? It doesn't show the red aura for me. It does when e throws the webs on the ground, but not with the assault 🤔

This strategy still works as of patch 1.13 in which they nerfed impenetrable thorns and in fact this encounter is now easier due to them having buffed both Ansbach and Thiollier. The best way to do this is to spam impenetrable thorns towards the one Ansbach is fighting to help him proc bleed as his weapon also procs bleed.

Comes into a bossfight with a torch, does 0.07% of HP bar worth of damage, immediately thinks "that doable, I should kill him like this" Are you insane?
actually thats 0.67% of HP every hit, and thats from a fully charged attack...
So what is your rating for every main boss in dlc from 1-10?
I'm not fully confident on giving every major boss in the DLC a rating just yet since some I've only beaten once on a casual playthrough or don't feel like I have learnt them enough to rate them with confidence but out of the ones I feel confident in rating: Messmer 7 or 8 out of 10. Rellana 3 or 4 out of 10. Putrescent Knight 6 out of 10. Romina 5 or 6 out of 10. Consort Radahn 4 out of 10.

I first learnt of it via a discord message from Parallax2137 saying he heard a rumour that the DLC difficulty scales further past standard NG+7, a few days later Dargonsouls told me someone found it existed in the game files (He also showed me a screenshot of exactly how much HP the rememberance bosses gain) and today finally I decided to see if it existed for myself since I had already beaten Promised Consort Radahn on that NG+ cycle I could see for myself by going into the next NG+ cycle and running to the DLC (took about 2 and a half hours to reach the DLC from the start) which is when I confirmed for myself it indeed scaled past standard NG+7.
@Xerieh So NG+7 DLC+ would be on playthrough 9 correct? Does it continue to scale further on subsequent playthroughs or does it only have that one further increase?
@@aurumarma5711It's only the one further increase, and it's basically just an HP modifier on enemies and bosses that stacks independently with whatever your NG+ cycle is, whether that's NG+2, NG+3, NG+7. You'll still get the rune amounts indicative of your current NG+ cycle, but you'll always have the HP boost stacked on top of that if you cleared the DLC in any of your previous cycles. In a way, it kinda screws over challenge runners who are already in NG+7 since it would be easier to get the boost by clearing the DLC in NG and then running through the core game to get to NG+7 afterward.
Very nice fight. The menace known as Miyazaki must be stopped for putting this hidden modifier in the DLC.

The Iron Balls have good stagger potential and charged R2 damage so they end up being one of the best weapons at RL1 for this DLC. AUX is short for auxiliary effects (Bleed, Frost, etc.)

How are you able to consistently dodge that quick slash that precedes the sword cross? I get caught by it 75% of the time. If I dodge the first I get hit by the second and vice versa. Any tips would be greatly appreciated 🙏
If you mean the attack at 3:08 then you have to be in the right position to be able to roll it which is on the left side of him. (his right your left)

Are you also doing Level 0 Spirit Blessings or disallowing them for this fight? If you started with the Preceptor's Hat that'd give you enough FP to be able to summon something like Andreas to tank and the swap to the White Mask. Or just some Skeletons to avoid menuing at all and possibly get the Dried Bouquet buff as well whenever they go down. It seems like it'd be something worth doing when the first chance show up.
