Don’t go there. It lacks and neglects diversity inclusion and equity. Go to HBCU instead.

I initially had doubts about joining UIUC but just watching this sweet and gorgeous person show her hectic yet adventurous day and see how much she loved it, I may just revisit that decision! Loved the campus insights and infra.. her major also sounds so unique and cool . However , I feel kinda disheartened that I would not be able to meet this pretty soul cause she must have passed out by then.

@@Andrew-vn1ko biology. I haven't taken my SAT's yet but got a mediocre score on PSAT (1210) T_T. But i'm graduating a year early from high school and my uiuc admissions counselor said that they don't like that 💀. I think that is the main reason I didn't get accepted and instead waitlisted.
@@boonie1340 dang that’s low key impressive (and sort of unfortunate) 😭 I’ve thought abt graduating early before but I do a lot of extracurriculars and am part of band at my school. I don’t think they would let me “leave” halfway through the curricular year (my school doesn’t allow students graduating a full year early). What other schools did you apply to/ get in? I’m personally thinking abt committing to Purdue rn but if UIUC accepts me, there is a pretty good chance I’ll accept their offer. Good luck though, I hope you get in 🔥
@@Andrew-vn1ko I'm just worried that I won't be able to get the housing that I want if I get accepted off of the waitlist. I only applied to the most common public universities in Illinois since I need in-state tuition. I applied to isu, niu, uic, uiuc. Got into all of them except uiuc :(. What colleges did you apply to? I'm currently committed to uic rn but I will remove my commitment if I get into uiuc. You should commit to a college just in case you don't get into uiuc. This whole process is too stressful T_T. What was your SAT score?

I am really excited to hear my admission decision for uiuc. The campus has really drawn me in and I fell like I can really connect there. I loved hearing the students stories and it encourages me greatly to see what kind of different in can make at uiuc (if I’m accepted of course). Also I’m super interested in the extra curricular and internships opportunities that uiuc has to offer

The UIUC sent this video to my son 3 days after he transmitted his application. Does the U of I send this to every kid who applies, or just to the applicants whose applications were shunted to the highly competitive pile? He is so excited about going to either U of I or U of W Madison. This is definitely a smart move on the part of the U of I Admissions Office. It makes a good impression to high school seniors. U of Maryland, Penn State, Pitt and U of Minnesota have not sent anything. I graduated from U of I over 30 years ago and loved it. And it is so much nicer now.

Hi. I am a high school senior, who just submitted a full application to UIUC, along with the SRAR. However, once I got to the Other Academic Information page and hit submit page, I got a “Pattern Requirement” notification saying that I may be missing English classes. However, I have taken the highest level of English classes offered at my school since my freshman year, and there is no way that I am missing any English classes. I double checked the courses that I inputted, and they are all correct. I just went ahead and clicked close, then submitted my SRAR. Is that “Pattern Requirement” warning something that I should be concerned about? Will that possibly cause a problem for my chances of getting admitted? I’d appreciate it if you let me know.
