I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I’ll go to the grave saying it. I’ll say while you’re sleeping. I’ll say it while you’re awake. I even say it next to you in the bathroom. The VOX sound is the most perfect amp tone ever created. The trem is glorious, the reverb is drippy, the punch and chime is what the Pope bases HIS tone on. It’s clean, its dirty, its down right mashed potatoes. Put a pedal in front of it, don’t put a pedal in front of it, I don’t care. Just turn it up and accept that the world will greet you with open arms. These amps get you laid weather you like it or not. Did I go too far? Well, what would Dean DeLeo say? The exact same thing I just said. Yeppers!!!!

The Tremolo on the Flint is more versatile. More things to play around with. But the Reverb on the RV6 due to its modes is more versatile. I think it depends on if you want more reverb options or trem? + The Flint sounds a bit better in person, there's some presence or whatever that is slightly more brilliant. But remember (whoever this reads) only you can tell the difference. Your band-mates & esoecially the audience won't care much about that very nuanced higher sound quality. + the TR2 is budget friendly, yes. But the RV6? The RV6 is definetly not a cheap pedal & for the price of both together new. You're only a few bucks away from getting a Flint from the used market. Even used the RV6 is a bit pricy still. Budget friendlier option would be to get a RV5 & a TR2 from the used market for a total of around 170$ (Probably 60$ for the TR2 & 110$ for the RV5) But then again you can get a Flint V1 used for maybe slightly under 250$ Only 80$ difference. You can get another pedal for that. But if you do prefer the Flint, its not THAT much to save up to either. In the end its really subjective. But thats my take on it

tele sounds like a tele. strat REALLY sounds like a strat. the eastman sounds growly - honestly a little muddy. firebird sounds amazing.

Nah sorry but the sound from the katana and this pedal …. horrible. The DI out is how it should sound and they nailed it . I think if you want to run this into the power amp in you have to switch off the cab sims as the katana is not an frfr so even in power amp in your still technically doubling the speakers if you leave the cab sim on.
