Effortless, in a way that comes one from raw talent and dedication perfecting his technique. Saw him do this live once. I don’t smoke, but I recall the Woodbine brand, while I might have had a pint of McEwan’s during a brief a stay in Scotland decades ago. Isaac could have been a major star, but chose to pursue a different, more honest path. One of my heroes.
DIS B MY KINDA MUSIC 🎸👍✌😎
This is so beautiful.A truly talented man with such a beautiful voice
Absolutely fine 😮😮😮
Fek didnae know he had such a rockin sistah!!!! Amazin gal !!! Luv ya babe
Holy smokes. Nailed it.
Wonderful performance!
My late husband a musician , took me to see Vin lots of times ,wonderful memories.
Good old Vin. One of the best entertainers ever!!
I was hoping he’d break into a duck walk.
His voice just gets better and better. Beautiful.
Nice version, but a bit too quiet. Lovely voice.
anyone know where to find the chart for this? thanks
Hi there. What chart or charts do you need? I can provide some. Snake
Lived in the next street where Vin lived, although we never met. He was a credit to Slaggy Island and a sad loss to music.
EEEE He was good :)
❤
No comments? He's just amazing!
Seeing him again, in November. Can't wait!
GOOSEBUMPS!
Your thumbs up ticker isn’t ticking. Nice performance tho!
Oh no! Dodgy ticker...
Awesome !
now compare with the corries version
great song and nicely sung
Are these clips all that exists? If you have more you should seriously release it all.
Just the seven clips I'm afraid. I wish I'd filmed a bit more but I had my 5 year old to keep an eye on. Cheers.
Wonderful upload, cheers!
Thanks. Probably my crappiest filming but they get the greatest comments!
Well done! Reminds me of my short time with the Apaches, at the Crown & Anchor, Wakefield
A true living legend & a bloody good bloke too
One of my favorite artists
❤❤❤ One of the most underated guitarists.
Good job, Andy. Good job!!
Sounded even better live.
Deeply miss Vin and his beautiful music
I am still sending this beautiful mans music to my family and friends around the world ❤ thank you Vin
Cracking recording - thanks for posting. Just seen them in Brighton: what a delight! Wishing you all the best.
Thanks a lot. He's great, isn't he. I've seen him 5 times over the decades and he's always great. I've just played my three LPs of his, this afternoon, end to end. Cheers!
Was there Sun, completely hungover from the campsite but what a day! Still got my t-shirts and posters!
I live not to far from priddy and have experienced the joys of swildons hole as one of the many caving trips we did in the boy scouts . Amazing experiences.
Very enjoyable!
Criminally underrated song - Truly wonderful
Mad as a hatter, long live the Otway.
Nice! I first heard this song as covered by Cry Cry Cry. Lucy Kaplansky sings it beautifully. Nice to hear the writer perform it.
Danny nice one keep it up .
I was there amazing
Vin is my pops’ cousin, he tells me stories of teaching vin the guitar and his stories from south bank and camp fire and a sing song up Eston nab. I love this song, vin is very similar to my pops’ they share a lot of traits, very kind, gentle and very witty.
My favorite version of this song.
Fair play to Paul brady . He has created some great music over a long career . Thank you Paul .
I just stumbled upon this performance in a very hard time, this was very soothing to the soul, thamk you.
Check out his lyrics,
Great
Wow, fantastic...
I know the tune - but not the name :-/ definitely have it on CD here somewhere, will try and find it
That's great! I had the same problem with The Kid On The Mountain. I knew the tune from an LP I have, but couldn't remember which one! Luckily I managed to Shazam it! It didn't work for this one though.
Could it be Grigsby's Hornpipe? -- there's a version by Foghorn Stringband that sounds similar to this (but different) @@cloddyclips
Another one that sounds very similar to me is Forky Deer (came across that one on YT from Eck Robertson). But I think they sound more like relatives than the real thing
Thanks for your efforts. I think I'll wait a while and see what other suggestions turn up.@@sdrtcacgnrjrc
I think I have it. Just received the set list and I'm pretty sure the tune is called 'RYE STRAW' @@sdrtcacgnrjrc
White people sure do know how to fuck up our songs. No originality or soul at fuckin all. Of course these folks in the comments would say "this is my favorite version" The original had a purpose behind it!! This is just Bullshit 👎🏿👎🏿💩💩
