Something tells me this might not be contestable in 2024
What song do they sing at the end in place of KTWWS?
Fantastic!! Missing me some Jack Slamka!!! ❤
Who did this arrangement?
Never seen this before. As a member of Power Play fans Inc, almost too much of a personal shock. I don't know Jim Kline at all, but his few words showed a touch of class.
I can say I was there. I remember the two standing ovations after both songs. I remember the chords of all six songs. I remember being with the family backstage with the Hatton brothers as the quartet were taken to sing for many different audiences with their medals shining in lights. I remember thinking this will never happen to me again to be around a family that had taken me in and taught me so much. To Mom and Dad I will always thank you.
Mum told me to listen to this today. She said it was Power Play's last ever recorded track and their bass sang beyond genius. My Mum's name is Kitty ( Not a bad second Mum to have eh? ) I love the Power Play family.
I was there, awesome performance. Thanks for posting
I know it’s not a new song, but it’s another focus on what happened THAT night, and it sure is great. HALLELUJAH!!! Jesus is born and coming again!!
The opening was fun!!
Wow! You lost nothing in the 17 years after winning. Not a thing.
You came to win. No doubt about these two.
Hello good song
What an absolutely remarkable track. Just as clean and accurate and exciting as ever. And what a gift for all of us - at any time, but particularly at this special time of year. Thank you so much. Such a moving legacy.
How lucky are we to have this to enjoy?
So many happy memories of Power Play over the years. Jack just rocked the bass part. Family means everything!
What a legendary bass! Love this arrangement!
I've loved this arrangement for a loooong time, glad to hear someone record it. Awesome performance.
This is wonderful, Mike. Thanks for sharing it!
Jack was such a beast lol. Awesome bass!
So grateful this was released! This will age so well. Hopeful for the future beyond these hard times. ❤️❤️
Absolutely incredible years after victory, Power Play, truly a timeless quartet.
Rest In Peace Jack. Your music was (and will always be) truly something special. To sing with your family is such an incredible thing, but then to go on and sing as well as the four of you did is really just extraordinary.
This beautiful performance will always remain a precious memory. <3
RIP Jack
That baritone is SO damn good - a blending chameleon!
WOW!!!! Just..... WOW!!!!!
Yes!
Baritone third at the end was GREAT!!! So clean and resonant, that’s how it’s done.
That bari Absolutely KILLED that set. They all did. But that Bari... Fucking WOW!!!
That was SLAMking! 🤓🤩😍
Power Play man, so frickin' good.
#LOVE
I liked Bluegrass Student Unions the best
We're awesome! 💜
Fantastic.....great idea......such wonderful voices all on one song. Most impressive and thanks so much for doing this!!! Goosebumps are in abundance!!! Bev (Schrader) Silvius
1st reaction: even with HOF status, uncle walter never got the recognition he deserved. next: we'll wanna rush in and try to rule which of the four ripper quartets is best. I've heard 'em all live; i'll take a shot. how about this one: cokeroft, connelly, wilson and a tie between spangenberg and staab. jb
Hey there Jim Bagby......how are you???? Bev (Schrader) Silvius
did you mean maddie slamka
You just keep getting better.....you GO!
