And yes, I love to cross paths my machines :) With the DFAM and the QS two of my go to are using either the DFAM pitch or VCO2 out to feed the QS cv in (but also the reverse is fun, using the QS sequencer LFO out as in for the DFAM vcos, although a bit finicky as you need to time the QS out manually through the LFO speed) and going from the DFAM vfc eg to the QS vca in. And generally speaking is great to use DFAM pitch or velocity out to modulate anything on the QS. Just experiment and you’ll find something meaningful to work with :)

Quite simply, by connecting an output of the Pulsar clock divider to the DFAM adv/clock input.

Great!! So the Pulsar is the master clock? Are you using a specific cable gator clip style to 3.5mm?

@@sixteenLEVELS Yap, the Pulsar acts as master clock. Also, on the top left of the Pulsar itself you get eight pin to mini jack converters, you can just use those -- no need for specific cables.

What a lead! I didn't know about it and just checked it out, it's simply amazing, and definitely waaaaay over this (...also, yes, it feels very pulsar-y). I'm having an hard time believing is from 30y ago... could very well be tunes from contemporary techno artists. Also super inspiring to see how Yuzo Koshiro, its composer, pioneered this whole new technique: "For the soundtrack to Streets of Rage 3, Koshiro created a new composition method called the 'Automated Composing System' to produce 'fast-beat techno like jungle.' It was the most advanced techno technique of the time, incorporating heavily randomized sequences. @@Saga-dg6yf very glad to hear such impressions from you :) as for technical information, it was mostly done with 4-OP FM synthesis (using Yamaha chips) with, perhaps, a mixture of some PCM samples and PSG (well, see Sege Genesis specs for more details), but from the citation you've posted I think he somehow programmed it in unusual way . That being said, I'd also recommend you checking out "Adventure of Batman & Robin" music by Jesper Kyd - also for same system, but that one is purely FM from what i know.
