Premesso che sono un pianista dilettante, ho avuto la fortuna di ascoltare questo LP proprio nell'anno in cui è stato pubblicato, il 1976, quando avevo 21 anni. A quell'epoca, avevo iniziato ad ascoltare il Jazz, ma quando mi sono reso conto del livello di questo Quintetto e, specialmente, di come aveva suonato Mike Wofford, soprattutto nei brani "I Married An Angel", "Come Back" e "Yesterdays", mi sono detto: "Devo comprare questo LP!"

This music is a balm for the soul. Gil and Jackson concocted a masterpiece.

NON dimentichiamo che ANDY SUMMERS ha fatto parte sia pure per un breve periodo dei SOFT MACHINE e quindi eccellente chitarrista!!!!!!!! E gli stessi POLICE erano formati da musicisti provetti!!!!!!!!!! STEWART COPELAND batteria e percussioni proveniva dai CURVED AIR Prog Rock band guidata dalla cantante SONJA KRISTINA e dal violinista tastierista DARRYL WAY . Mentre GORDON SUMNER ovvero STING basso e voce proveniva da un gruppo JAZZ che faceva vecchio JAZZ anni 30/40 /50 o giù di lì!!!!!!! Questo album è sicuramente interessante ma purtroppo funestato da TROPPE insulse pubblicità che spezzano il filo emotivo dell' ascolto!!!!!!!!! Più MUSICA e meno pubblicità!!!!!!!!! Una all' inizio e poi... STOP!!!!!!!! Che lascino ascoltare in pace!!!!!!!!!!
