Your videos are really awesome. Even the people in my life who have seen me have crisis after crisis still don’t seem to understand what I’m going through. Do you think part of the reason that you started gaining weight was because you were actually taking the steroids regularly. I’ve always been very thin. Underweight at times but as soon as I started taking steroids on a regular basis, I gained about 10-15 pounds that stays no matter if I eat or don’t eat a lot. I’m still “normal” weight but I’m a lot bigger than I normally am. My face is filled out. I just have a rounder body more padded and I think that’s result of the steroids. Maybe that’s what was going on with you?

I am here with ya, it sucks because when I get the adrenaline fatigue bouts throughout the day, my boss tells me to work faster, I literally tell him I can't it is hard convincing people, that is why I move really slow when I have what I call an Addison's attack. My legs start feeling heavy, wobbly, or weak. My heart rate shoots up, while blood pressure goes low. Prayers to you, when it comes to being misunderstood. Pray they receive sympathy for you.

Hi I was diagnosed just last week and came out of hospital just a few days ago. I relate to you a lot of what you say in this video around physical feelings and mental health experiences throughout my 20s. Did you ever get a high heart rate which continued following treatment? I am trying to work out whether this is just in my head now! Any help or suggestions appreciated

I myself have adrenal insufficiency, that’s where the pituitary gland is not sending the message to my adrenal glands to pump out the proper adrenaline and epinephrine and norepinephrine, I also have a tumor in the medulla of my adrenal gland that keeps growing and eventually will have to have my adrenal gland removed. I am not looking forward to this as they say it is a minimum of a six month recovery, if not longer for the other adrenal gland to take over. I sympathize with you and anyone else who has Addison’s disease or secondary Addison’s, which is adrenal insufficiency.

Add more salt to the diet with Addison and then try licorice root. Also if that does not help drugs is the last resort. She does not speak of low sodium and iron defiency from not being hungry and not eating enough. It is way more than than a mental situation.Weakness, dizzy, double vision, sleepy real sleepy. You will also notice no hair on the legs and arms. She covered she could not walk when under attack and that is a good sign you have Addisons. No oxygen in the system low blood pressure. Yea,many times a nurse has more disease knowledge than most doctors.Last but not least when feeling good please exercise hard to keep the heart strong so that in a crisis you fight your way through and not die.

I got this after smoking weed and a bad shrooms trip years ago. Took 1-2 years to recover. I remember thinking at the time that I had to be one of the worst cases ever and would NEVER recover. Like other people could, but not me. I became agoraphobic cause of it and wouldn't drive out of fear I'd cause an accident (felt like I was drunk) lived in constant panic because of it. The panic episodes would last a few hours at a time and if I wasnt paniced I was always on edge and obsessing over the feeling of it. The feeling was what was causing the panic so it just became a huge messy cycle of one feeding the other. On top of it I had weird physical symptoms that were not typical like developing severe arthritis all over my body and blood sugar problems so then I started thinking it was some other mysterious disease causing all this brain fog (probably just my body being overwhelmed so the systems not working well), so then the anxiety developed into hypochondria and then an eating disorder because I was afraid of my blood sugars getting too high or crashing. I went from never having had anxiety/depression in my life to feeling like over night I broke my brain and there was no going back and it was the end for me. I was so negative and depressed and wired all at the same time that I felt even if there was a way out my brain is too far gone to make use of it. Therapy and meds didn't do crap and then my therapist told me most people recover that way so I was like yup I'm the one who is just resistant and there is no hope or help for someome as bad as me. I look back at my journals from that time and just want to give myself a big hug and tell myself and tell her everything will be ok. And I'd say that to anyone now suffering now. It CAN get better, even in the worst of cases. I'm proof. Gradually over time and doing a lot of little things from a lot of different angles is what helped. There was no "one thing" and it just kinda happened without me realizing until one day I looked back and was like oh... I guess I'm better. When did that happen?

Hi, I am 50 I was diagnosed about 8 Months ago with Addisons and I am having the hardest time dealing with and the Hydrocortisone that I am prescribed isn't really working very well. I don't know what to do because anger rages thru me more than anything, but my emotions are all over the place and most days I am not sure what feelings are really mine or caused by the disease and then there is fatigue which in itself is just crazy. I'm from the united States đŸ‡ș🇾 and i was spending a lot money weekly on buying Valtrex and sometimes Acyclovir to suppress my outbreak as prescribed to me in the hospital when i got diagnosed. Any one who has Herpes attest this, with all the pain and embarrassing symptoms unfortunately and those drugs from the hospital are not effective for taking care of the body. I have Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia 17-hydroxy progesterone and had to have reconstructive surgery at birth.. Addison's rare and ugly cousin of the same nature. My own doctors don't understand my medical condition as well and neither to other professionals. I am applying for disability for the second time. I have been recently dumped for having a sinus infection (praying it wasn't Covid) for 3 weeks that knocked me down for the count. When other people observe that I cannot maintain a regular job and I am presumably sick all the time... Which I am... The automatic conclusion is that I'm a leech on society. They really do believe it's all fake. I'm so happy that you have a strong support system! I want to sincerely thank you for your video, it did make me tear because I don't have a handicap pass but it can feel like I qualify for that, sometime more than others.
