A good few years ago, I had to attend an Upton Park route 15 Routemaster that had run out of fuel on the East India Dock Road. (On the way back from London.) The bus was facing East, back towards Upton Park Garage. Unfortunately for me, because of traffic build up the police with their land rover towed the bus over to the West bound carriageway. This certainly made my job difficult, because they'd got the bus near to the pavement railings. I think I poured more road fuel over my overalls then went into the fuel tank. At last I managed to get the bus going, after bleeding out the fuel pump, so the old RM engine turning over is a reminder of happy times past and great blokes I worked with. The long and the short and the tall.👍

Nice Routemaster in all it's shape and form. I grew up travelling on these vehicles when LT had Green Line, Country and Red. Remember the British Airways ones too, maintained by LT. Seen a few Northern Generals ones plus FRM 1. My only slight bug, is the upper front side windows are not quite rounded enough, just something most people wouldn't fuss about.

Are you still modelling these days? I noticed the Routemaster bus in the corner behind those other cars, looked pretty good actually, like a little museum. I also noticed you got the destination blinds printed for it. Pity you couldn't make a GreenLine text livery to go on the sides instead of the London Transport one you sued from the box. Very nice build all the same. I'm currently doing mine now.

I have one of these. I have a drivers licence but I like to go for rides back in the country. I got mi e with 4000 on it. I had to clean the carb out and set the fuel mixture screw. It runs like a champ now. I used to ride big motorcycles everywhere I just like to get out ride and see things. Ain't no shame in my game.
