This video has the brightness (mostly) fixed and is more viewable than the previous one. Most of BWI start video is missing because of fog and camera finally decided to stop focusing. Landing at Denver is seen, then pushback and takeoff from Denver and night landing at BWI. Westbound flight was 737-900 and Eastbound 737-800, both flights on United.

Locomotive for the ride was Western Maryland Shay #6. Had to get switched out just before returning to Cass station due to water flow issues to the boiler. Video on board train (and on the ground in the middle of the ride) taken by Insta360 1-Inch. Video on the ground at the beginning and end taken on a Sony AX53. At one time or another this was someone’s joy a new vehicle. It was cherished, washed, waxed and maybe had sentimental value. But here it sits forgotten forever! Maybe a first date or getting married or something unfortunate event happened. Don’t get me wrong junkyards are neat to explore. If I were in need of some classic I would buy a vehicle from a dry climate like the south west.

Fascinating footage. Western Maryland #6 just got out of a major overhaul (you may have been on its first tourist train since it was returned to service), so there's probably a couple of bugs they're still trying to get out of it. Normally it's assigned to the Bald Knob train because of its huge size, so a Whittaker run is pretty rare. Pretty cool you had Shay #5 pulling you into the station though, it's not every day you see a 118-year old locomotive still operating regularly.
Thanks! Interesting, didn't know she'd had an overhaul. You're right it makes sense there's some bugs to shake out. I was surprised the big locomotive was on this trip but was happy to see her. This was my third trip up here, last being roughly 12 years ago on a railfan trip. Had been waiting for another but looked like it wasn't happening and a friend had this place on his bucket list so we came up. Love these locomotives!

The government should take an immediate action on this and these unwanted steel things can be sent to the recycling companies for new products.otherwise this scrap yard will destroy the whole earth in many ways.
The problem with these vehicles is they are rotted and rusty, beyond saving, laying in a wet climate state.

It Sure Is A Junk Yard All Right. With A Bunch Of Disorganized Rusty Stuff All Over The Place, With A Few Cars Added In. Nicer Places To Tour Are Better Organized. And Being In Pennsylvania, It's A Wonder The PA. DEP Hasn't Gotten Down On The Guy For Ground Contamination From Leaking Grease, Oil And Other Hazardous Fluids...
I think the grease and so called hazardous fluid are long gone.
