No, but I don't have enough rounds through it to make any judgements on durability. With this particular build, I only have 500 rounds, or thereabouts, through it. It's held zero perfectly, for what it's worth, but as I said, not enough rounds through this setup yet. (I've been putting more rounds through my suppressed 11.5" BCM)

You make an excellent point. In terms of qulaity and functionality overall tech you cant really compare Formlabs to these 500 printers but you definitely can to the Heygears Reflex and thats half the price for the complete kit and an amazing printer. I cant understand how people are paying these prices I would rather buy a few of the different brand 500 printers!

The LCD resolution in the Form 4 is 8k? I thought it was 4k since one video said 50um pixel size is quite a sweet spot for the resolution vs. light intensity.

@@starride4530 You are correct the Form 4 is a 4k screen. I talked with Formlabs at Rapid this year and they also confirmed it was only 4k. They swear that they are doing some magic to somehow sub divide that pixel down to achieve a lower pixel size, but to me it sounded like image blur and AA like how Chitubox has it. Even at 4k resolution the details should be great and crispy, but I would still choose some of the cheaper 8-12 options out there. If I was to still stay in that level the new Heygears machine had amazing print results from what I saw at Rapid and it comes in at under half the price of the Form 4 and it comes with wash and cure stations for that price. Heygears had some very nice resins on display and the feeling of the resins were extremely hard with an almost ceramic feeling. Not sure if they are achieving that hardness by over exposing the layers though.

I’m at ~157k miles currently. I have not reset my “A-mpg tracker” which is just shy of 27mpg; this of course includes winter driving where I will use 4WD from time to time, and will let the truck run and idle much more. This also includes towing a small trailer and/or our 28’ camper from time to time. When I commute to my current office (~90 mi round trip) it’s mostly highway, and I’m usually just putting along in the slow lane. So it could very well just be that I drive slow. I do like to keep my tire pressures relatively high, usually around 38-40 psi. One other note... I did take my front air dam off….i swear it dropped efficiency slightly, but I have no controlled data to actually prove that.

Thanks for the comment. I made this as a one-off for my own usage with the LUMIX S5iiX and the Kondor Blue cage…I don’t know the FX3 at all….does it have the option to record directly to an ssd over usb-c?

@@natetran I just got the camera and i am very new to this. I will have to do a bit of research to find out. If its possible to do so what SSD you recommand and id love to order your handle to be able to insert the ssd

Sadly most camera's don't record to SSD drives (including the FX3) but there has been "workarounds" using adapters, such as this one from Tilta. It wasn't cheap though, but the concept was certainly a good idea. czcams.com/video/IZ3-hZ332BA/video.html

So, the limp mode warning on my dash was going in and out, depending on what the weather was doing....it was getting below freezing and the code and limp mode warning would activate, then it would warm up and the code and limp mode warning would go away. At the time of the line swap, it was warm, so I had no code/limp mode warning. After the line swap, I haven't had another code/limp mode warning since.

I have not had any issues, however, I have not attempted to record very long videos to the SSD; I usually use my Atomos NinjaV. What's really nice about the M.2 NVMe drives is that they are so fast, you can edit straight from the M.2 NVMe drive, which is very nice when recording in low compression codecs, such as ProRes. I have verified that the 6k open gate functionality works over USB-C/SSD, but have not done much with it. My preferred work flow is to always record to the Atomos Ninja V, but I am going on a cruise in a few months and will most likely revert to the smaller profile setup, and use the SSD and not bring the large cage handle and Ninja V.

you can. it depends if you have the "Do it all Handle" or not. if not, you will need to get a USB-C to 3.5mm jack adaptor. if you have the handle, you can just connect the DJI mic transceiver to the Pocket 2 via 3.5mm cable.

@@Yaseen_KhaliqI’m biased towards the DJI ecosystem, but I have used the DJI Action 3 at my work and it’s quite good. Rumors right now are that DJI will unveil the Action 4 by the end of July….if it were me, I would either wait for the DJI Action 4, or buy the Action 3 when they reduce the price.
