Equine Positional Release Ischium Technique

Place you hand(s) on each ischial tuberosity at the back of rump/hind leg, either side of the tail. Gently push the pelvis toward the horse's front end. Gently hold the contact until the horse pushes back or moves off of your contact, or for a maximum of 60 seconds. Stop pushing and remove your hands.

    Hi! I've taken some of these classes and I'm thinking that it looks like the bigger movements are where the release is being done. The bigger movements are done to find out where to position the leg - which is definitely moved! in order to get the release. The release is being done when 'nothing is moving.' There's a slight compression added into the system. From the outside it looks more like holding.
