Headyyy even managed to make this find into a reliable strat. Idk how much time it saves, but it's not too hard to learn. :) I'm currently training again to reach 3rd place.

that's the technique which made this category come up in the first place. it uses inputs made for movement recording.

he's actually shooting at Muro. you have to punch Muro exactly 4 times and then run-kick-throw him out of his fighting zone to place him so superball guy doesn't see him as well. :)

The actions are named start_record, stop_record, play_record in the key_config.txt. It is a hidden feature to the game which is meant to store combos (I believe) but has a bug in it that makes the game think you're on solid ground at the end of the playback (so you can jump again).

That feature is only possible on PC, when you set the key bindings for it. It's kind of a hidden feature. Originally made for recording replays.

this is an abuse of the replay feature which is only available when binding keys for it. you can record moves and play them. after that the game thinks you are standing on solid ground, so you are able to jump again. pretty crazy stuff going on there. ;D

@@90degreee Sorry for the late reply! Somehow I missed your comment. You need the custom daodan.dll from speedrun.com (www.speedrun.com/oni/resources). Then you can set key bindings in the key_config.txt file. If you're seriously interested, it's probably best to join the Oni discord, so we can help you directly.

@@NexusBaum Doadan patch adds marypoppins cheat which makes jumps infinite. Relieves of having to press rec buttons infinite number of times in order to fly.

@@NikolayZubkov ah ok. As strange as it seems, considering how broken the speedrun is, but cheats are not allowed. ;D

yes, you cannot run while holding a gun, so shooting while jumping is faster :)
