I agree with you about the ending. It made the entire movie fall short of being great, which in turn made my rating drop 5 stars down to 2.5. I wanted to see Dani get revenge.
Read @angelpoj's explanation comment on this video. It ties a lot together. Given what happened, it would be nice if Dani got some revenge to fix it, but I do like the plan laid out in their comment.
But yes, otherwise Dani was just showing up to Yana to what, drive her out? I don't think anyone else in the house saw her. You'd think that she would have tormented Ted a little, but maybe he just never was there at night?
why do you drop a the container of air attached to a rope, come on bad ending.......
This "review" is unwatchable
Well, thanks so much for watching my unwatchable review!
Came here after seeing press about Oddity, which led me to discover the truly excellent Caveat. I hope he receives much more attention and gets the chance to make many more films. Thanks for this interview!
Glad you liked it! I had a blast talking to Damian and absolutely loved Caveat and Oddity! I agree he is a very talented filmmaker who seems to love playing with the audience and keeping them on edge. Cant wait to see what comes next from him!
@@WatchorPass You guys had a great conversation. He seems so down to earth like most Irish folk are!
I think Darcy used the wooden “pumkinhead” type monster to get revenge on Olin Boole. When she learned that she killed the wrong person she hatched a plan to use the wooden man to kill the true murderers and shipped the bell to herself so that she could use the bellhop for self termination. Her plan got a little messed up when she fell through the floor. I believe she can only control the wooden monster while she is alive, it’s why the monster couldn’t finish Ivan, but it all worked out in the end when Dr. Timmis rang the bell. Darcy wanted to die in the house so that she could be with her sister Dani. Great story telling!
Really good explanation and that makes a lot of sense! Thanks for the comment!
I think the movie's ending would have been more satisfying to see the cheating, murderous husband get what he'll was going to give him for his crimes.
I kind of put this on as a joke because my gf wanted to watch a scary movie. I figured we’d watch like 10 minutes or so and she’d be like this is so goofy let’s watch something scary. But by the end we were squealing with joy lol. We were losing our minds
I’d never seen it btw
That's kind of what happened with me. Saw the announcement, figured why not, looks silly. and it was silly, but brilliant also. Absolutely loved the movie!
@@WatchorPasssometimes I watch a movie and get a little pretentious. I’ll start having thoughts like “if I was in the writers room I would have suggested this.” But for hundreds of beavers I thank god that somebody like me wasn’t in the writers room. I would have tried to shoot down so many ideas that turned out to be amazing
Interesting, this guy is a snake and hypocrite, he spoke well to me and Eric and said he liked the movie and now he writes a completely opposite review
Gino, I don't think this is the right forum for this. But to answer your comment, I'm sorry that you feel this way but as I said in the interview (and this review), there were things that I did enjoy about the movie. In the interview I try to focus on the positives, as my duty in the interview is to create an interesting dialogue between us for people to learn more about the movie and how it was made. I believe that we did that and I had fun talking to you and Eric. I don't think it would be an enjoyable interview experience for anyone if I sat there and harshly criticized the film. However, my duty in my reviews is to give my honest opinion and recommendation to my viewers. Sometimes that is a negative overall recommendation, but that is what I need to do as a critic.
@@WatchorPass this is the right forum for it because the critics are copying and pasting paragraphs from one another and saying the same things about our movie.. while audiences have loved it but their reviews have been deleted and muted on rotten tomatoes and other sites.. that's facts.. so yeah it's appropriate to speak the truth and talk about that you interviewed us and said one thing but went back and said something entirely different ... So it's very appropriate to point out your hypocrisy
To answer your first allegation, I did not copy and paste any thoughts about this film. I recorded the review right after our interview and well before the embargo on the film. And for the second one, I have also not deleted or edited any comments on this review. And as I said in my previous comment, the review and the interview serve two different purposes. I try to make the interviews fun dialogues for people to watch and learn about the movie, regardless of what the ultimate review ends up being. And there’s always something I liked about a movie so I focus on the positives. The review is my opinion and recommendation, so it may or may not be positive. The ultimate recommendation is for my viewers so I have to give them an honest take. I respect your vision and the effort it took to make this movie, but I ultimately didn’t recommend it. Again, I don’t think it’s productive to have this conversation here. But if this is a forum that is letting you vent, then I’m glad that you have it. However, I’m not going to respond to any future insults or allegations from you. Take care.
@@WatchorPass never said you copy and pasted, that was an example of what other critics have been doing the create an illusion of the movie being bad... You came with a bait and switch ...
iF THE ENDING IS WEAK THEN THE MOVIE ITSELF IS WEAK.
Oh no, I wouldn't say the ending is weak. The ending is good, there was just something about it that I wish was emphasized. Overall the film is great, I just wish that there was a thematic aspect that was pulled through into the ending.
I absolutely adore and love this short film. It would be a dream come true for it to become a full length movie. I think it would be amazing. Please consider making it into a full length movie. Like 2 hours or maybe even 3 I could watch this story for 3 hours easy. It’s so wholesome and amazing. My grandson is 4 and I would take him to the theater for the opening weekend for a full length movie.
I adore this movie but I don’t know how well it would do as a full length movie. It’s so perfect as is I’d be worried a full movie would draw the story out and not have the same impact. But I completely understand just wanting to see more. This was an absolutely beautiful film!
C stands for 3 things one of those is moon shape
Can't wait to watch this for the first time this weekend so excited 😊😊
You are in for a treat!
@WatchorPass that's what I've been hearing bro I cant wait ..how creepy is it?
@@swavezmartinit’s more unsettling through most of the film, like something just seems off. Doesn’t get really creepy until the last part. It’s such a good build up though! After you watch it, check out my interview with the writer / director Christian Tafdrup. He gave a lot of great insight into the film and was wonderful to talk to. czcams.com/video/7_EFjTQgHZI/video.html
@WatchorPass thank u so much I wonder why they are remaking this movie 2 years later. What will be the difference?
I hope they don’t change much of the story; but they’re remaking it to have it in English and with big name actors. It happens occasionally to give a film more mainstream / worldwide appeal. Still, the original is brilliant so definitely see that one first!
This movie needs a physical release
Hundreds of physical releases!
How did this make it to cinema but still no Salems Lot🤔
Great song 🔥
its bad in every way possible
It was amazing and perfect I enjoyed it more than the original the original is still good
@@MJA-Horror-Filmss lmao that's a true hot take you should not be a movie Reviewer this was not even close to the OG are you kidding me
It was good in special effects and scenery. The disaster scenes were good. The romance part was not there. The leading lady was boring and seemed like a lesbian in that she just wasn’t interested in either male going after her. No kissing scenes, nothing. Glen Powell and the tornados and people getting blown away was the highlight of the movie.
@@viewer409 ya remake the first one with new technology and it would be miles better then this dumpster fire of a movie the cast were not even likable it’s a sub 5 out of 10 at best
@@MrCougar1825 it’s not a remake
I just watched this movie myself. And filmed my review
Where is this Church at!??
It was in a mall of all places!
@@WatchorPass that is so mind blowing!! The Futre of Rock shows!
@@whiteranger2435 I think it was just the available venue. Islander said that this was their first time performing in a church. It was a good setup though. It's a church so they had volunteers around, which means my kids could wander to the bathroom between sets and I wasn't concerned. They also didn't have insane check in procedures. And Islander was especially cool. During their first song, one of the fans got up on stage, danced, and then dove into the crowd. He didn't see some kids that were in there and I think he startled them. No blame on him, it's a rock concert, he was having fun, and he signaled what he was going to do. Well, after that song Islander said, "hey, can we get all the littles up here on stage? they can watch us from over there (a place on the side of the stage). We just want to make sure all our fans can have fun today." So all the kids were up on the side of the stage during the performance!
@@WatchorPass yes! They’re humble! Saw them in SA they were great unfortunately they had some technical difficulties which was completely out of their hands sk the set was cut a little short but still got to hear some jams and the were reminding the crowds about having fun and also be safe as well!
Een geweldige film….
This was an amazing concert! I'm happy that this was my first concert ever in my life :)
Yes! It was a really great show. Can't wait for them to headline at some point so they can have a longer set. And also can't wait to hear the new stuff this fall!
Neeson was o.k. But the rest of the movie was just crap.
It was dog 💩 I started laughing towards the end for all the bad cgi and left before the movie ending busting out loud 😂
i went to see this movie last weekend and right before the movie i went to go see a sketch comedy show happening nearby. needless to say, i laughed way harder watching this film than i did at the comedy show. the film was so ridiculously bad that all i could do was laugh.
Oh shit nice. I assume you were a fan of Fly Leaf?
Yuup! loved flyeaf but never got to see them live, so seeing Lacey was the next best thing. and the opening bands were good too (Islander and Amethyst Michelle).
@@WatchorPass oh nice. Glad you got to see her live. Would love to have been there. I saw them open up for a band called Cold back in 2005 or so.
Douible Thread is a great movie. Danielle C. Ryan did a really great job. She did all her stunt´s and use no stunt double. I love Danille !!
Lacey did amazing, this new lineup is fire... drums on point, bass and harmonies by their producer and Josh usually great guitarist and Lacey poweful vocals, so raw, touching, moving... is such a gift to see her perform live, better than on studio and not by technique but because she makes you feel every word of every lyric she wrote.
Ugh I hate that person yawning, not moving, not feeling the songs, just beig a waste of space and air in the front row... anyone else who is a real fal deserve that spot, not that boring and uninteresting person that is watching a great performance and has the audacity to yawn at it
Y'all spelled Freddy's wrong it's not Freddies
We just watched this one last night. I like your take. It's confusing. MAGA Vet.
What is the name of the opening theme?
Personally I loved it, some not so good moments are there though
This is a director to keep an eye on and track as a true artist. What Josiah Saw was quite a film.
These are THE BEST chips in the world
One of the worst movies I've ever seen. 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.
😂
I hate movies that suck your life away, making you rethink going to theaters completely.
I tried to warn you!
@@WatchorPass To be fair, I went in completely blind when I saw it. Boy, was that a mistake. 😂
That’s how I do it too! Though I have the luxury of not paying for the movies I see!
It was bad

Maxine was the one the killer was watching dance at the peep show
This is insane!!!🔥🔥
It feels dangerous to say I relate to Ralf.
Does it have happy ending?
Depends on your interpretation of the ending sequence. It could be happy, but it could also be very sad.
You saved me 20 bucks lol thank you
I liked this movie.
Seeing how everything on the real moon landing was scripted down to the movements. They could have just not done it live and pre-recorded/edit in audio in post right? It's not like everyone has powerful telescopes to confirm everything is happening 1 to 1
Yea, the movie seems to take a lot of interpreting to figure out what’s going on. Nice job covering a movie thats like that.
Thank you for the kind words and watching the review!
Pearl took place in 1918. I personally liked it better than X. I liked the early 1900s take on a slasher. X was straight up 1970s Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets Eaten Alive, complete with Alligator. Maxxxine is coming off like a Giallo film. I love Giallo films.
Wow this movie is bad.
I may have missed it but I would have liked Jesse character more if I knew the source of his anger. Would have made more sense
I didn't like the movie but i liked maxime le mal he was a bit funny
i wish more people reviewed this film, great video!
13:25 a little extreme 😂 you’ve never been stalked before have you? Lol
Thankfully I have not!
A possible idea for a 4th film would be Maxine's star power decline to newer and younger actresses and have her spiral 🌀 down a path to murder.
Loved it! A perfect allegory on Hollywood, story within a story. Not sure what you thought was slow. It was good pacing for us when we saw it. Thanks for your take!
