sorry late. Its wasn't actually banned in the rules until the update. 9 motor gang mentioned it in his video.
I was expecting a LOT more fighting for those wall stakes, but only a single ring was plopped there. Also really glad there are going to be way less 100+ final scores, really adds meaning to every point.

Fuck these are gonna be some low scoring matches in VRC. VEXU is gonna have some fun ones. Also VEXU 110% gonna hit 100 in skills months before VRC
max score in matches for vex is 100, its slightly more in skills, but overall this game is just lower scoring. I don't expect vexu to put up 100+skill scores til march

Another comment from me; the robots on the statistics ( 0:55 and 0:57 ) are slightly different to the robots in the video? I see that 8059Z has a slapper on the lift in the static photo frame, but in the video they have a flywheel, and 8059A is missing the dragon decoration
Sharp eyes. And you are absolutely right - 8059Z is designed to have an interchangeable slapper (for skills) and flywheel (for matches). And as for that dragon thing... it is purely decorative. And it is actually our Anglo-Chinese School creature - dragon tail + lion body + eagles wing.
