Michael is just an amazing professional. It's good to understand his origins. I continue to love the game, even as a casual player with his continued dedication to providing content to people. I don't think I will ever be a professional player, but him showing his love of the game continues to keep my interest in it even as a hobby, and I don't think that fascination will ever end. I love Go more than any other sport in the world because of the mental fortitude that is required at a high level, which to me is much more interesting than watching a physical sport.

Love for the game, commentary, but never win any tournament, but 9Dan? What makes him 9Dan without winning any actual competition against the real Professional 9Dan Players in the competition? His commentaries are also very text book like instead of able to read the mind of players…

In fact, Go Seigen's name was not originally Wu Qinq Yuan, he was born Wu Quan, he was called Qing Yuan later. (Qing Yuan is a "courtesy name" bestowed on an adult)

Cho was born in BUSAN, not Seoul. he came from a wealthy family, but during the korean war, they lost all their fortune and became impoverished. His KOREAN grandfather taught him GO, and seeing his potential SENT HIM TO JAPAN to train cus his uncle lived in Japan, and since he's become a naturalized citizen of Japan. he is, however, of Korean ancestry and ethnicity.

    • @b93kda

Wrong. He's not naturalized citizen of Japan. He's still a Korean. His family did not lost all their fortune. They were still very wealthy. Check your facts.

@@b93kda _Cho was born into a very rich family of six children. His grandfather was a bank director. During the Korean War, the money the family had owned was burnt and they became impoverished_ - wiki and Cho is a JAPANESE GO player of Korean ethnicity. idk if he's a greencard holder, but he resides in Japan and has lived in japan for most of his life - that pretty much means he's japanese - he is affiliated with japan , not korea. YOU CHECK YOUR FACTS!

    • @b93kda

@@lahellight4337 If you believe that, go ahead. Jus because his grandfather lost money, that doesn't mean they were poor. His whole family were rich, not just his grandfather. The family is well known in South Korea. Yes, he's been happily living in Japan. That doesn't make him a Japanese. He declined to be Japanese citizen multiple times when everyone around him asked. Yes, he is affiliated with Japan. We're not talking about that. After all, he is still a Korean by his choice.
