The vapor barrier tape prevents the movement of water vapor into the wall structure. A prerequisite for this is a properly glued vapor barrier tape. The initial rapid adhesion at the time of gluing does not mean a sufficiently dense result if the surface of the tape is not pressed properly onto the substrate. Use the pressure roller for best adhesion. Good adhesive tapes like ISO-Connect Inside FD Complete and Outside FD Complete adhere to most building materials without the use of primers.
