A certain early 20th century European dictator clearly mentioned the US governments methods of dealing with native Indian as the basis for his blueprint for dealing with the Jews of Europe. His critique of these methods was very positive. You can read about them in his famous book written while he was serving a prison sentence in 1922. The title translates as My Struggle. It’s a hard book to find because of the many references to US policies mentioned as a model for the authors dubious world domination view. If you want a copy, get a pre 1970’s copy preferably but up to 2000 may be safe. After that I would be a skeptic about alterations.

I would have loved to see Celilo Falls before the Dalles Dam was built.I have seen old post cards with natives net fishing for salmon at the falls.I still have family in The Dalles.

The South Fork of the Rio Grande River comes out of the drainage leading up to Wolf Creek Pass & Ski area; their junction is in the town of South Fork. The full length of Rio Grande, from northwest of Creede to the Gulf of Mexico, is a rather recent occurence 😎 Part of the geologic history of the mentioned vulcanism, was the creation of Lake Alamosa; when its huge valley overfilled, the spillover created the canyon flowing south.
