WTF...this needs to stop!....someone will get hurt using this "what ever it is"
One of the things about jkd is to not have forms which is why Bruce used karate as an example of unrealistic training. According to Bruce’s personal training schedule he incorporated boxing in 1965, stopped practicing the first form of wing chun by 1968 and by 1970 no wing chun including trapping. Instead he practiced boxing, kickboxing, weight training and street effective techniques. In 1969 he told William cheung: "I have lost faith in the Chinese classical arts…my line of training is more toward efficient street fighting with everything goes…I’ve named my style jeet kune do, reason for my not sticking to Wing Chun is because I sincerely feel that this style has more to offer regarding efficiency." In 1970 Dan Inosanto did a interview on jkd in Karate Illustrated and no where in the pics or text does it mention wing chun or kali. Instead showing narrow fencing like footwork and boxing techniques. Dan describes jkd sparring as "vicious but polished street fighting, boxing, wrestling." Link to interview: jkdjoaquinmarcelo.com/entrevistas/jkddani1970.pdf
Il trapping potrebbe risultare efficace contro lo striking?
Bruce removed trapping in his development of jkd.
I like this art of partner Training.

From my point of view, a pendulum kick makes no sense, since if the opponent sees that the base leg is moving forward he can easily predict the movement and counter it
this is not jkd original
There are no forms in Jeet Kune Do. Show where Bruce Lee showed forms after 1967.
Sarebbe interessante testarli in sparring leggero.
Great video! May I ask how can u execute properly a rear leg kick??
Using the leg as if it were a whip and training hard to keep the center of gravity stable (equilibrium point determined by a correct position and rotation of the pelvis)
0:58 The move after the GO LAN SAO DA is JUNG LAN SAO DA. Means centerline hit. Middle hit. JUNG (center) ❤
Thank you
None of this would actually work in a real fight because an opponent won't just stand there. You have to work on footwork, movements fighting going in and out .
You learn this through learning Jeet Kune do.
Do the round house last
Stop kicks?
I use a high bong out as far as I can get it .. a QUAN actually.. and I’ll scoop a FOOK SAO off of it.. WHISKING HAND and SUT SAO help.. but a CHEUNG will pin the wrist! .. very nice
Very nice use of “SAM TIM” front hand used twice on two different lines!” Great work!
Nice “PAK-GUA” sets up the thunder from the mountain” the GAU CHOY or hook punch..
Very well done I subscribed and I do a version of Jun fan called VIPER and it’s mainly Madame Wing Chun with lots of knockouts! Stop by sometime! Ty! Great work!
You're taking two steps before firing the punch. Telegraphing.
Hand before the foot. Otherwise, you're telegraphing. Don't take a step, then punch.

People who keep saying this is not JKD, forget that JKD went through different stages of development. Yes, this is not part of the latter JKD curriculum that Sijo was working with Sifu Ted, but this was part of the early JKD that Guro Dan, GM Taky, and James Lee was working on. This is the bridge between Wing Chun and Jun Fan Gung Fu, which later evolved to the JKD taught in the 70's that looked more like fencing and boxing. Now the question is, does this have any value still? Since Sijo Bruce Lee "discarded" it, does it mean it's garbage and must be stripped out of all JKD curriculums? Well, let me ask you this. When you were in college, were you still doing first grade arithmetic? 1+1, 2+2 and stuff? Were you still being taught how to color or draw shapes? I sure do hope not. If you are a normal person, you would be doing Calculus by then or Business Math. So since you are no longer doing Arithmetic, does that mean that that subject no longer has any value and must be removed from the course syllabus of elementary students? I hope your are getting what I mean by this. JKD is about stripping away, and chiseling your system down to its very core until you get to your own JKD, which would be unique to you. But to strip away, you must need to first have material to strip away from, other wise, you will have nothing. That's why Guro Dan said that to get to JEET KUNE DO, you first must have leaned JUN FAN GUNG FU. So should we still practice Ung Moon? I think it's good to be taught to beginners so that they learn the basic moves and self defense techniques. So I keep it. But I modified it so that the structure is closer to realistic combat. Then after this, my students move on to something closer to the latter stage JKD syllabus. Then after that, we move to learning grappling and hand-held weaponry. In my organization, we do not believe that Bruce Lee created JKD to make copies of himself. He didn't want you to become the next Bruce Lee, he wanted his students to become the best version of themselves. If you read Tao of Jeet Kune Do and Bruce Lee's articles in Black Belt Magazine, you will know that what I say is true.
Well said..㊙️
Moreover, Dan recommends in a video to learn wing chun and even says that to understand and master the JKD, it is essential to learn wing chun .
@@elpeleadorr “Bruce's art is based on a set of principles and philosophy. It's not do anything and call it jkd. The latter example is more fencing and boxing. And really no wing chun at all. Because Bruce had moved away from that to a more effective streamlined way of fighting.” - Tommy Carruthers
Balance. your structure is not good, and when you pak sau you should be closer to control any counter attacks, when you kick your off balance and not close enough to finish him. Don’t be a robot, find the natural movements for yourself along with the timing. You have to take Bruce Lee’s Art and make it your own, not try and be a copy of Bruce Lee. What your trying to demonstrate has to look and FEEL natural.
Don't judge without any info about the purpose of this demonstration...this are short videos "like robot" to show some movements to some of my students. Your comment (I just saw a couple of your videos and you'te not in condition to talk about others, you're poor in technique and balance...) is completely inappropriate.
What part is the Jeet?
When Bruce said JKD was formless he literally meant that there were no forms/patterns/kata. A “JKD form” makes as much sense as a football bat. If you want to practice JKD by yourself your time is 100% better spent shadow boxing, hitting bags or doing some other exercise where you are using timing, energy, motion and off beat tempo. This is a backslide. That’s not to say forms are or ever were without value. Back in the day there were no books, magazines, videos. A form might have been the only reference material for a student to use and properly done would serve as a form of shadow boxing. But it’s an outdated, inefficient way to train.
It's Ung Moon is a form from Ron Baliki JKD program.
Juk tek is my favorite❤️
really good, this entry on the outside with biu jee is very effective
Very Nice
With all respect sir, I don't say what you teach in this video can't work. But in my opinion, the only way to check if it works or not is to test it against a muay thai or mma fighter. You should invite someone for a friendly sparring in order to see what happens...
Hi, I tried this kind of defenses against MMA people in the past and I can tell you that are effective. Especially the side kicks to intercept the opponent because in JKD as you probably know, we have no rules so we point to break the knee for example. The people that practice Kickboxing or other styles were the focus is on competition, have no possibility to develop this kind of attitude. Anyway, all my respect for every martial art and different opinions 🙏
Can you make all in slow motion please?
Yoy can view it at slow motion also using native functions of CZcams
JKD isn't SUPPOSED to have, "FORMS," per-ce', rather, fundamental techniques derived from Wing Chun.
@@felixxi6737 That's Great, bro'. I no longer practice Martial Arts, but I still keep fit, and JKD provides that. Keep workin.'
@@felixxi6737 Ung Moon is a form from Ron Baliki JKD program...it's better if you catch some info and lessons before to judge what you don't know.
this is more of the Early stages of JKD, when Bruce Lee focuses more on Wing Chun techniques.
This is just Wing Chun!
@@veiledallegory all techniques in the forms are wing chun based. Bruce lee in his early years of development his kung fu system was very wing chun based. Only later he moved out from wing chun to further improve the efficiency of the art.
@@joshw380 yeah, that’s why I said it’s just Wing Chun! Bruce eventually evolved away from that. Any martial artist who spends years seeking practical techniques that work in a real fight would eventually move away from these techniques.
@@veiledallegory actually. No.. these are the most common tools we use. These aren’t techniques at all. We have entries and training for that. These are mere tools. The poke (bui gee) the hammers (choy) the jaangs (elbows) and the deflections. This is hardcore jkd. Not old.
Then, which is more fit to the newbies ? Jeet Kune Do ungmoon 1 or Wing Chun siu nim tao ?
Not Jkd ... this is wingchun
this is JKD but with jun fan jkd material in the beginning, Bruce himself and dan inosanto trained these ways
Yas i know it ... it's teaching guro dan .. but not full jkd

It's not...Ung Moon is a form from Ron Baliki / Dan Inosanto JKD program.
