Auch ein sehr schönes Arrangement, in dem die Orgel das Klavier ersetzt. Ich hörte heute heute in Duisburg bei der "Toccata III" eine Version des Adagio für Klavier und Orgel, die den Orchesterpart übernahm. Ganz wunderbar!

What a fantastic interpretation! Played with such verve, such lightness and virtuosity - pure joy! Congratulations to the fine ensemble, the superb soloist and conductor, also to the unique mobile pipe organ with its phenomenal swell effects, and not least to the magnificent recording technique: bravo: it's great fun to listen to you, as cuckoo and nightingale whir lively through the church ... 🪶

Disappointing - the organ sounds like an electronic instrument and didn't do justice to Gunther Rost's technique; and the orchestra [excellent musicians by the sound of it] were so muted that it was difficult at times even to hear them. Lovely music and good musicians spoilt by a poor organ and strange interpretation.

Absolutely unimaginable rubato. Most people probably don't like it. But the fashion for this way of playing was already in the time of Mozart. I think Mozart did not like such rubato. However, it must be admitted that such a way of playing existed and this fact should not be ignored. We must be glad that we have the opportunity to hear the way of playing that was used in music. We should not like the historical fact. It is important to know this fact to be able to understand it.

Well that is just INCREDIBLE from a technical standpoint!!!!! I didn’t think it was possible to play this piece up to the written tempo!!! I think it is a tad too fast though……..
