Then use narcissistic defence mechanisms to dominate and silence based upon their feelings and warped views. Hence, you looked out of the window and they felt abandoned, therefore there is something wrong with you and they are entitled to abuse you. Same mentality of the rapist who felt that skirt was too short, the man who didn’t have his dinner on the table at 6pm sharp, all FELT entitled to abuse. They expect you to share their fantasy and even apologise. They abuse you and expect you to be sorry for it. Don’t fall for it. Instead, think critically. No one was put on this earth to be abused. It’s very simple.
