It's still a more efficient way to get a more consistent product in one operation, and while you still need a dozer to blade it up ....a dozer can't rip and stockpile at the same time so this method would be far more productive. And you wouldn't need such a large cone or jaw crusher because of the consistency of aggregate size this machine will give you. It might not be cheaper but it will be more productive.

​​​@@shaneward6689 not really your burning more fuel when you could just bast and then load with excavators and trucks plus different size rock and stone 3ich 6inch 9inch base rock ect not saying anything bad and but running that machine and then still having to clean up behind it with loaders dozers ect know cost of rock teeth how many time you got to change them and tire cost but cool machine man good concrete grade rock ect cool a deep cut things to consider bigger rock for lakes rivers erosion control ect rock excavation is hard on any machine going through rock teeth chains ect different types and density rock calls for different cutting teeth ect cool machine. Putting pipe in the ground with a rock trencher then leaves a bigger problem for pipe repair ect just things to consider sometimes besides footage the long run I guess hard to repair a water main in solid rock with just enough room to dig the top out the have to break the sides for repair fittings and such. Then I'd look at old concrete and such the cost of a crusher on tracks to recycle old concrete as well as just new if need be the cost of a crusher and that machine there old curb sidewalk road tear out ect could be reused or recycled to gravel ect a excavator with a breaker to get some of the rebar out then scrap the rebar to try to recycle some metal. Kind of like running a tiller over a old road that probably has a bad base or pumping from water sitting under the asphalt or concrete so it has to come out for a better base a longer road life. A machine like this better for under ground cuts so the top is some what stable
