Nn... It's quite an understandable mindset... I'm turning 14 soon, and from the terrible and disgusting things I've seen of the world, I don't want to live into adulthood, I'd prefer to save myself the suffering for something that I don't think will be worth it. For many years I thought that 14 would be when I hit my breaking point, and it feels a bit surreal to imagine myself being 15 next year. Right now I'm just waiting until things get so bad that I can't take it anymore, despite how that would suck, I'm... anticipating it. I suppose it's a feeling of "I know it's going to happen, so I want it to happen soon", you know? I'd rather not live in this limbo of, ah, it's bad, but not bad enough to let myself go yet. Haha, I've fantasised many times about some kind of zombie apocalypse happening to finally give me that nudge, but I also just want to test whether or not it's really possible to give up that way. Many times I've wished for a situation like that to really test how I would react, I've almost done a couple things I would regret just to see how it would effect me. I don't think it's something that other people could understand, since I've never met anyone whose able to separate themselves from their situation to analyse it calmly like I do. I suppose it's better I do it to myself than other people, it hurts a little when I catch myself thinking about my friends as though they're some kind of research subjects. Aish, I went off topic, right? I just haven't talked about these feelings much before, so I got carried away. Either way, I think Kanae's choice is very respectable. If someone is truly set on their decision and happy with it, even if that choice is to die, I will always respect it. I have a friend who has struggled with suicide before, and I think will struggle with it in the future, honestly, I don't know how I'll deal with it when that time comes. Because for me, suicide is a decision about their life, that I don't think I have the right to meddle with. I think if they aren't sure about their decision, I'll vehemently oppose it, but if they truly don't want to bother anymore, and are no longer wavering about their decision, then I'll support them. Ahem, anyway. Even if Kanae passes away at 30, there will be many years of streams for us to look back on. Knowing that he will pass away happily and on his own terms, I can't bring myself to be sad. I'm happy for him. He was my gateway into the VTubing community, along with Kuzuha, and I'll always love him as my oshi <3
