Daily Flash Queen Jane Approximately

More than any other Seattle group of the '60s, the Daily Flash assimilated the folk-rock and psychedelic sounds of the day into a sound that was both forward-looking and commercial. Specializing in electric rearrangements of contemporary folk songs that emphasized their harmonies and 12-string guitar, the Flash were also capable of psychedelic rock, as on "Jack of Diamonds," which featured blis...
The Pretty Things Private Sorrow 1968
zhlédnutí 707Před 7 měsíci
In 1969, the Pretty Things performed their recently released album SF Sorrow in its entirety live. Or rather they didn't: unable to work out how to reproduce its complex patchwork of sounds on stage, they opted to mime to backing tapes. Miming an entire gig would probably have spelled disaster anyway, even had the whole band - and, crucially, their soundman - not opted to take LSD before the pe...

Never Dreamed is a collection of previously unreleased songs. It's a chapter from the man's history that's been completely unknown until now and presents the story of a remarkable encounter: a meeting of rock and country giants from Buddy Holly's "Crickets" and the legendary band of Elvis Presley. This album and TGW almost define my teenage years.
Absolutely. I am a fan of rougher singers, but Cummings can do that. I have seen him. Aside from their hits, their albums are fantastic. Deleted almost before they came out.
different mix with bass en vocals upfront and fuzz guitar in back
