Registrace 11. 06. 2019
I am a Devon ski and snowboard waxing service and repair workshop. Also summer snowboarding on my Onewheel, why not ride with me.
I love everything about winter sports. I could not be any further from the mountains, but I just try and become involved with anything to do with the world of skiing and snowboarding/ Onewheeling, Just so I can stay close to my passion and try to live out my dreams.
I have found the world of Onewheeling with my Best friend Tom. as it the nearest thing to snowboarding I could find for dry land. I would like to think we have come along way on our abilities. why not watch back though the channel as see how we have progressed.
I love to review things, from unboxing new stuff and giving my real honest thought on it, to using it every day and reviewing how to fix stuff. I love and bring knowledge to others in the hope that they would find it helpful.
Let’s see where this journey takes us together. So please subscribe and come on the journey with me.

I used Fabsil Gold on my classic Mercedes SL roof and it worked an absolute treat. Watching water run off like liquid mercury, brilliant stuff.
Try bonding the body panels together! 😮
Different technique but if done right it will not rust!
You may still have gas in the bottle! The first valve on the top of the bottle is on/off the next black one is your regulator this one has a reverse thread so the more you undo anti clockwise the less gas, if you wind it all the way out you won't get any gas, you don't need a lot of gas for what you're doing 7 - 12 lt/min too much and you draw in contamination and a bad weld and your just wasting gas, looks like you're doing a but weld this is the hardest to get right as someone mentioned brief pulses fraction of a second don't let it get hot, watch urchfab on turn up the heat for thin metal, welding overhead is also the hardest as you found out heats to a molten state and wants to fall on you, so easier to weld from the top, don't worry about burning hole occasionally we all do it once in while annoyingly. Keep going good on you for having a go. Don't mind helping people that want to learn that's why I started my CZcams channel, but I am serious hobbiest not a professional so don't know everything. Your doing great it's going to look awesome. Cheers Marty
@@martysprojects thanks so much Marty. You are always so helpful 👍 fancy moving to Devon to lend a hand. 🤣🤣👍👍
@@RRW your more than welcome I used to live near Taunton in a little Hamlet called Athelney, so I wasn't to far away from you, bit further now though. Cheers Marty
When welding sheet metal you need to be on and off the trigger, don't hold onto the trigger for long or youll burn through.
@@kingrolovtec Thankyou that make a lot of sense 👍
Well done!
Think of it like making a series of tack welds overlapping each other.
Beautiful Mini It’s getting on very well ! Every step is well thought out! Where did you get those seats?
@@franciscomelendez3894 hi buddy thanks for the great comment. I’ve got the seats from composite seats.com but that was quite a few years ago so not sure if they’re still up and running.
Great job with tubbing your mini!! I know exactly the mind block and the worries about cutting up your car. I'm going through that metal block right now, but it has to get done. Great vid as always! Looking forward to seeing the cage get built for the mini!!
@@nunuland69 it’s was the hardest thing I have had to do. But glad it’s done. I have booked the car in for the cage. Can’t wait. 👌👍
Great job, a few pointers, you can plug weld instead of spot welds, drill 7mm holes around 30mm apart, just cut a strip of metal oversize so it sticks out past your quarter panel you can trim when welded up, buy a flange tool air or manual for the inside of the wheel arch it will make it easier and a stronger join, if you haven't got heaps of clamps use small tech screws to fit it all up before you start welding take a lot of attention of the shape of the quarter panel as you assemble, it can move out of shape very easily, just take your time, and as someone mentioned blow compressed air to cool each plug weld, oh start one end of the arch and plug weld each hole in turn till you get to the other end, if you plug weld randomly your metal could end up short which means you will have to stretch it and distort the quarter panel, metal shinks with heat, back yourself your doing an awesome job. Cheers Marty
@@martysprojects wow thanks so much . So much great advice, you are a legend 👍👍👍
Glu those parts together!
@@franciscomelendez3894 I wish it was like that. Mind you my welding is only that good. 🤣🤣
@@RRW 😕 Much better than mine! I have considered using special glues for some body parts.
Not over engineered at all.......let's see your ski turns......
@@bksports674 it has to test a time very well. I have serviced over 200 sets of Skis on this bad boy and it as good today as it was the day I built it. No wearing this bad boy out.🤣🤣🤣👍👍
@@bksports674 check out my Ski Holiday videos I don’t do Ski, turns I do Snowboard turns👌😎👍
Cracking job fairplay. Watch the heat when you weld the lip and the new piece of steel in. I used an air line to cool down the welds and took my time so the rear quarter didn't get too warm and warp. Keep up the good work and stop putting your skills down.
Thanks for the advise. 👌👍👍👊🏻
Nice one, all's well that ends well, new skill to add to your bow 👍
@@ianroberts8692 thanks buddy I was so nervous doing it. 👍

@@NickThornhill OMG, I can’t even get it right after I mucked it up the first time. . What’s the welding tip? Try not to catch your car on fire?🤣🤣🤣🤣 I wouldn’t copy what I do as the metal would drop off and your talent way exceeds mine
@@RRW well I’ve tried the copper pipe method with limited success and remember you using washers to plug the floor holes. I’ve got to plug my back seat holes up akin to your car too.

@@franciscomelendez3894 I would not do the centre nut again as I have had one come loose. That was scary 😧 You do drive on nerves for the first few miles to be honest. 😬😬😬
Is it permanent
@@ST4RLIGHT_AEP I do it every year. 👍
Looking good, your question about welding. I was taught to pull the totch or drag it, if that makes sense.
Thank you I will try that regarding the welding. I just can’t seem to get the weld flat. 🙃 do I need more heat.
If you want flatter welds turn the wire speed down a bit.
@@kingrolovtec legend 👍👍
Something else to bare in mind is if you do more reinforcement then don't bother to seam weld the whole length just do an inch and leave an inch. Saves time and wire, gas. The end result will be just as strong.
i love this build and the car is awesome! i love kad products and own quite a few but after a year of asking them for a 16v build and trying to get them to sort it out i gave up. i lost count of how many emails and phone calls i made and each time i was given excuses which just left me deflated in spending that kinda money on their products when they had no interest in building an engine.
@@dandantheminiman that’s sad to hear. Thank you for watching though.
@@RRW i really was dedicated in having the 16v and even starting designing stuff to work around it. its got tiresome to keep contacting them every 4-6 weeks to ask about it. this though is epic and you have landed on your feet with this engine.
@@dandantheminiman thanks buddy. It’s been a life goal . I did find another card twin camp 16 valve engine in Ireland on Webber that was part of a car but they would sell it separately . 👍 let me know if that would be any interest if so, Watch will find it for you.
@@RRW same here for me, it’s what I dreamt of. I’m going down the 8 port route now and just building a lively 8v engine. But I’ll give it a thought as it’s still an itch I need to scratch lol. Although I do own a carbon Kevlar 16v bonnet if you’re interested.
@@dandantheminiman 8 port was another dream engine. Wow you must do CZcams video on your build. I have subscribed just in case you do 👍👍
RVL8 are great skiboards but the sides and top surface damages real easy due to the construction method.
@@markleeson3453 I do agree with that the topcoat is very soft. It could do with a nice fibreglass hard layer to be laid over the top but then I suppose that would affect the flex but still an awesome Ski,.

Hi RideRightwaxing & UKOneWheel, just uploaded video of the alternative to raptor. cheers Marty.
Hi Marty just watched it. Thank you so much 👍👍👍
Worst job stripping paint but it looks like you're nearly there, Wurth makes a stone chip paint it's acrylic based so you can wash the gun out just with water, Rally guys are using it around me and rate it, no isocyanate like you get in rapter so you can spray in your garage, and It's cheaper, I have just bought some and will be doing a video soon. Glad you're getting some nice weather. we are lucky and blessed with dry warm weather we're we live, but it has been cold and wet lately. Keep up the good work. Cheers Marty
Thanks Marty I will look into this stuff 👍👍👍
Hi ant, I just pm'd you on messenger buddy 🚗😃
Thanks buddy for your help.
Buy a mic.
Agreed🤙🏼🤙🏼
Yeah could do it that way would save running another line, I went with two lines because that's what was on the car originally, the larger 3/8 is the return back to the tank, my regulator is variable as running a turbo, so starts around 3 1/2 psi on idle and increases with boost, there is an extra pipe running from plenum to regulator. Cheers Marty
Thanks Marty 👊🏻👊🏻
Got to say I’m really not looking forward to doing this, but it’s inevitable. Mine is the same age as yours. It needs it. lol.
I don't know if you're doing it, but when I did mine I removed all the rubber bungs in the front and rear floor and welded them up.
Yes I am doing that. 👍👍👍
There's not much point in having them, they're only good for draining water out of the car. You said you're going to weld up the windscreen wiper holes on the scuttle. I'll send you some pictures what I did later on today.
@@kingrolovtec that would be amazing. Thanks buddy. 👍

Well done mate. Looks like proper hard shitty work. I want “a few moments later” clip when you finally finish this beast. 😂👍👍
Thanks mate I didn’t manage to get out on the bike this week. 🤣🤣
I think I would be tempted to paint the roof first with black fabric paint to get rid of those marks as you won't ever get an opportunity to do it again as it cant be painted onto silicon. The beading aspect is impressive but does it still allow the fabric to breathe? It was my impression that it isn't the fabric that is supposed to be waterproof but the rubber layer beneath??
Oh yes it’s a tent fabric so it is breathable and to be honest it’s worn off already. You have to do it every year so I will try the dye aspect this year and I might video it because it was something I thought about afterwards so you have a great mindset, thank you for reminding me. There is a rubber membrane underneath but it’s just nice if the water sits on top and beads off as here in the UK it rains a lot and I like to drive as much as I can with the roof down. So after 5 minutes of driving the roof is dry. Thanks for the comment 👍👊🏻
260 mile range from a 90kWh battery is pretty poor. Is it possible to get more range with more efficient driving?
That’s all it gives and at the time of the recording I was getting electric for 4p per Kw 👍👍
