    When you build your chicken coop you want it about four dog houses big and you want to make a rail that are all the way up top throw straw on the bottom close the door at night so no raccoons can get on them and then open it up in the morning and they take care of themselves but if you buy them when they're little chicks it's going to take few months before they lay that size of a chicken coop will hold about 8 chickens

  • @richardschatz2433
    @richardschatz2433 Před rokem

    So Long you don't have roosters you don't have to worry about waking you up 4 in the morning let him out in the morning they'll feed themselves in the lawn if you got ground and theyl go in side by themselves when it gets dark

    Trimming the ears is not advisable! Those hairs protect the horse’s ears from dirt and flies that might cause discomfort or even worse cases illnesses.

    In Germany "whiskers" are called "Tasthaare" (which literally means: Hair that has the purpose of feeling for something/tactile hair) and you will face trial for animal abuse and sentence if you cut it (also in Austria and Switzerland). Same goes for cutting hair that grows in the ears and around the eyes. Horses need it to prevent themselves from hurting themselves by bumping into objects, biting on stones, getting hit by something in the face and so on. Cutting these important tactile organs is making a horse disabled and therefore it is banned in Germany since the 90s and luckily also by the FEI since 2021 so that horses with shaved tacticle hair will be disqualified from competitions. I hope America will follow soon. So as a German, it is upsetting and very unpleasant to watch someone mutilating their horse in this video.

    Any tips on how I can educate an (older) inlaw on the importance of testing soil for hay, gardening and other ag reasons? Whenever I try to talk to my father in-law about such topics I get told the ext office don't know what we're talking about. He is set in his ways. He informs me "my grandfather and father did it this way so I am doing it this way". He don't test his soil. Just throws Lime at it ea. year. I fear he's wasting money for the wrong soil additive that his fields / cattle really needs. Thank you.

    Horses with no whiskers and ear fuss look so ugly and synthetic. Who came with that aesthetic standard? Might as well shave it all so its bald like humans, because it seems that is what is considered beautiful, hairless animals, structures that evolved for millions of years for a purpose removed just because silly abstract ideas of aesthetics. Just complaining about it, not really about the tutorial as I have to do this against my will to some horses Im taking care of, and well its still is helpful to know how to do it.
