    Great videos, but... "Simply applying compost is better" Well duh, of course having infinite compost is ideal. But the whole point of compost tea is to multiply the microorganisms from the always limited compost you have.

    I was looking at what distance Mr. and Mrs. Honeyberry (5-10 feet tall) should be planted apart. I think I "found" the answer in your video - at 6 feet (1.83m) apart. But you planted them somewhat only ONE meter apart! (Unfortunately, there is no indication about this on the leaflet.)

    Nothing is really free, even sun and 'free compost'. For the sun, you need to have access to a land. If in apartment, you might have access to a balcony, therefor, less "free sun" for you. For the "free compost", well, you still have to work for it (use your car, move the compost bin, have space to age the compost, taking care of it, watering, spread on vege, etc). Gardening is not a great ROI if you consider it like a job. But, as a hobby, it mysteriously turn the ROI the other way around! Organic/free is fun, but take way more time compare to chemical fertilizers. I use both, for different application. Sorry for this ambiguous comment!

  • @alexandrevaliquette3883
    @alexandrevaliquette3883 Před 4 měsíci

    Let me disagree: even if you have a microscope and a phD in microbiology, it's impossible to properly identify all the bacteria in your compost tea. You will need a DNA sequencer and expensive instruments.

  • @alexandrevaliquette3883
    @alexandrevaliquette3883 Před 4 měsíci

    As a rough estimation, a 3lbs (1.5kg) of soluble Miracle Grow (about 10$) is the equivalent of about 1500 pee. Sure, it's free, but you don't save much.

    the passive broths (popular in biodynamics) require daily stir it ups for its short oxigenization instead of turning anaerobic.

  • @user-jn9rj7hm6u

    i like to water special plants from my aquariums due to microbe rich water already fertilized

  • @user-jn9rj7hm6u
    @user-jn9rj7hm6u Před 4 měsíci

    lacking essential factor for foliar fertilizers application: the ph of the broth/compost tea should not be over 6,5 due to hydrogencarbonate would block its absorption into the leaves; ph can be lowered by controlled vinagre application. sunshine also dries up moisture on te leaves fast, so applications should be given on cloudy days w/o rain or at dawn/dusk.

  • @user-jn9rj7hm6u
    @user-jn9rj7hm6u Před 4 měsíci

    i suppose using EM would add the microbes needed for instant plant availability of organic components in & above the soil instead of waiting up to 2 years ?

  • @user-jn9rj7hm6u
    @user-jn9rj7hm6u Před 4 měsíci

    in water deposit fed irrigation systems, (such as BLUMAT) the water temperature gets a problem in hot summer due to its lower O2 saturation values in higher temperatures as you can see from aquarium tables. water poor in oxygen takes O2 from the soil & roots worstening their conditions. i'll cover the deposits by ivy & blackberry plants etc. for shadowing them.

  • @user-jn9rj7hm6u
    @user-jn9rj7hm6u Před 4 měsíci

    in summer, i programmed 5 starts for my drip irrigation system each day, so i assume, that watering frequency also affects soil's microbes due to less time for their recovering from 1 irrigation to the next...
