    I guess second time is a charm ? 2 months ago I replaced the evaporator core in my 2016 Fusion, the job is not for the faint of heart. The worse part of the job to me is the removing of the doors, really a dumb design. I was able to just remove the clips on the cowl and remove the 2 bolts without taking the wiper arms off. The one take away I tool from the job, I would mark all the wiring harnesses better than I did. My 2016 is a Titanium and after the dash went back in there was one empty connector, I was worried about it but everything worked after, I think it was for the heated steering wheel, my car does not have that option. After watching a few videos on this, your method seems to be the right one, taking off most of the things you can before removal, like steering column and other stuff. I also replaced the heater core and blend door actuators when in there. I hopefully won't have to do another one, but if I did I definitely have it streamlined if needed. I may try another evaporator core in the future, but if its a ford model that requires door removal, no thanks. I think you did a great job on the video !

    Do you know if the dash can be removed without removing the evaporator case??? I only need to change the evaporator temperature sensor.

    • @torquespec9345
      @torquespec9345 Před měsícem

      Hi @kevinoutdoors8504 Unfortunately, my friend, the heater box comes out with the dash. There is a "Dash Frame" (3/4" square tubing, guessing at the size) that "encases" the heater box. The entire assembly comes out on the floor then you remove the Dash Fascia, wiring harness, some more stupid duct work then the heater box can be separated from the square tubing frame. It's a stupid design. I'd put this engineer and the end of the line of all the other dumb ones. Line them all up then kick the square in the nuts. LOL

      I"m tryin to think where that evaporator temperature sensor was. Hmmmmm. Refresh my memory? Here's the longer version. I show the Dash Assembly on the floor and disassembled. Maybe you can find the Temp Sensor in here some where and find some helpful information. Good Luck My Friend!!! czcams.com/video/px8BQzfK1AA/video.html

    • @torquespec9345
      @torquespec9345 Před měsícem

      Hey @calibruce7608. Based on your description there seems to be an intermittent break in the electrical circuit. As you suggest the Turn Signal Switch is certainly Suspect. It's also possible that there is some corrosion at the Bulb and Socket, Either Left Front and/or Left Rear causing this intermittent electrical issue. Check these before you spend the Big Bucks on this Turn Signal Switch. Most parts stores will not return an electrical part that has been installed. If it's not at the Bulb/Socket or the Turn Signal Switch it will be a break in the Wire Harness. Please let me know what you find. I'm always curious. Thanks for the Comment!!!!

    How many hours does it take to replace the switch assembly? My wipers wont turn off ive replaced relays and the fuse and it still stays on. Had to pull the fuse just to get it to stop on my 2012 charger.. HOW MANY HOURS DOES IT TAKE TO REPLACE THE SWITCH

    • @torquespec9345
      @torquespec9345 Před měsícem

      Hi @marvinstanley514 The question is: "HOW MANY HOURS DOES IT TAKE TO REPLACE THE SWITCH?" ANSWER: It really doesn't take long. To better answer the question it would be helpful to watch the video then judge for yourself. You know what tools you have available. Your skill level. Lighting availability. Possible interruptions from the Wife, Kids or Customers and other factors. I did this one in less than an hour. I hope the video is helpful. It's quite a simple job. Just be aware of the battery and the air bag connections. If you can change the light bulb on your Range Hood you can do this job. I have confidence in YOU!!!! Please tell me how it went once you have it completed. I'm looking forward to hearing about it.
