so im new to the sport and i think that gives me a good perspective on things and imo there are 2 things holding UFC back from being as mainstream as football, formula 1, tennis and yank sports like basketball and egghand balll and they are a) the apparent brutality, and b) the pay per view nature. You cant stop the blood but i do honestly think that the best thing they need to try to do now is drop the pay per view and move to terrestrial Tv/online streaming with ads. I think pay per view alienates new and casual viewers, i get why it is that way for combat sports, it works for a few reasons but it its the next step for them to get mainstream
