Modern Cars and Trucks Suck, More People Will Switch to Bikes
As cars and trucks become more overpriced and less reliable, the used auto market will be filled with the garbage that is coming out now. More electrical problems, more complex components, more expensive to service, and overstressed engines will lead people to seek alternatives. Much like in Asia and Europe, people will increasingly look for alternate vehicles. Also, with lane splitting becoming more mainstream, I predict more motorcyclists on the roads in the states in the next 10-20 years.

Scooters are the Real OGs

Low CC Scooters have it real rough out there. Many riders do so out of necessity. They ride rain or shine, when most of us "real bikers" won't. They don't have the advantages of evading traffic like a full sized motorcycle. Us bikers should grow our community and give respect to those that have to ride a small scooter. One day, maybe they will be on a full sized bike too.

The second mod is total shite, 1st gear is supposed to be touchy, that is apart of riding you have to learn how to use first sensitively, all you are doing is losing hp and making it slower. If you want a smooth riding experience at slow speeds just keep it in second. No hate though, just sayin.

What you said at 00:28 is the exact reason a 400 can be better than any other bike category for many people, on a 1000 when you crank that throttle you'll feel like you're traveling tru time haha. When you got that speed addiction even a 150cc scooter will get you in trouble, specially on the twisties. Personally Im more of a fan of the acceleration rather than the top speed. I got my ECU flashed yesterday and let me tell you man..The throttle feels so much more responsive and so much faster in acceleration, and it makes it hard not to want to open that thing up haha. Have you looked into flashing your ECU as well? Stay healthy man!

I have used a technique, this is coming from a CBR600RR and YZF R1 experienced rider. I always take it easy and only go 5 over the speed limit. However, I have my fun by launching off stop lights and getting to 5 over the speed limit as quick as possible, its alot of fun. Also, I have certain spots, where if there is no one around on a certain back road, I go through the gears and hammer it, but then when I get to the end of the road / spot where there is a stop sign /intersection, im back to riding calmly and going 5 over. Try it.

Perfect bike to learn on if you're interested in sports bikes. It's a really good bike to ride around town and to take on twisty roads. You can use the whole powerband without breaking the law. Start on a bike with disc brakes, start on a bike w a slightly lower seat height and lowest curb weight. Start on a bike w handlebars not clip ons. Should not be in an aggressive jockey position with extreme bends in legs and high foot peg position. Should not be very stretched out with significant weight and pressure on arms and shoulders. A sport bike position causes limits on peripheral vision, a more upright riding position allows better visibility and and more control. Aggressive body position is a bad start. Stopping, starting, braking, more not less rider mobility and vision is better for new riders, displacement of the bike is not as important as training and practice

"Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you". Yes you should be very careful, always, but never afraid. Fear will make you panic, and unable to take decisions. Try to asses situations that you know you won't be able to get out of. "If that truck suddenly decides to stop, will i be able to swerve or brake in time?" If the answer is no, give it some distance. Know your riding level, and try to learn something everyday, that's it.

When I had to move out to a rural area and rode mostly rural highways, I bought a Kawasaki z400. When I started riding on the interstate 45+ minutes each day for my commute to work, I bought a Honda NC750X. I miss having the light weight of the 125cc. It was so much fun to ride.
