Don’t listen to anyone who tells you to then take tire to have a proper patch. I’ve never had a plug failure in decades of plugging tires.
I just take it to Discount tire. Just pay the 19 for insurance on the tires and you will get a tire for 30 mounted and balanced. Buy new tires.

i tried this once and the black rubber substitute kept coming out and i wound up with no air in my tire 😢
The puncture is too close to the edge. Repairing that is dangerous. Could have a blowout..the fact he drilled it himself means he may have just killed himself.....
This is a temporary fix guys you will still need to get a new tire or professional patch
