Memorial Wave concept by InterTech

The 'Memorial Wave' concept is designed as a tribute to the many people who lost their lives at sea. This is not your typical concrete and brass plaque memorial. It's a much more uplifting and modern approach to capturing the full tragic circumstances of past events. It's a positive reflection of the past for our FUTURE generations. The 3D concept visuals show a modern maritime memorial that co...
A Concept 'Tide And Time' Clock for Kingston upon Hull
zhlédnutí 601Před 14 lety
Tide And Time Clock conceived by InterTech Media UK Ltd The Tide and Time Clock is designed to function as a mechanical tide clock. It uses the letter 'H' to chart the daily ebb and flood of the tides. It makes a very dramatic statement about the city's maritime name. Who said the word HULL is not marketable? No symbols; no logos; no straplines - just Hull, constantly changing and completely in...

Especially the fishermen, God bless them all, those departed and those still risking life and limb to feed us - many thanks!

There is a huge divide as to what to do with the Lord Line building, i think there are more in favour of it being demolished due to the state of it sadly. Something could be done with saint andrew's dock though rather than just leave it.Jan 2020🙏👍🙏👍

@@paulcrisp9861 Yes, Manor Properties who bought the Lord Line building went bust 3 years later, but separate plans for flats and a restaurant & bar have been approved recently. Both are unnecessary there as the port and offices are commercial assets. Once we're out of the EU, hopefully our fish stocks will recover and the industry will pick up once again. Hull is in the right place for biz with the EU, so if all goes well with some government investment (as compensation for selling us down the river) the whole supply and service industries should also develop. It's going to take a decade or so, there's no quick fix but I'm an optimist.

A nice idea, but if one is realistic, you could never regain what has been either been destroyed, shut down. Many industries have been lost forever, due to some appalling decisions over the last fifty years. Regrettably, our country appears to have lost its way with nobody capable of taking over the tiller either now or in the foreseeable future!
