Thank you for the video, that was amazing!! My grandad came from Alston, I am sure it was from one of these cottages, this would of been about 110 years ago, he ran away from home to join the army ,I guess life was too quiet for him there and he did not want to work on a farm or travel to working down a mine, most likely his parents were highly strict Victorians to add to wanting his own type of independence.

The building itself is interesting but the kitchen and decor is very unattractive

I really liked this house. Everything is well planned. Large kitchen, comfortable living room, three bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom with bathtub. The backyard is the perfect size for relaxing and barbecuing.

I'm not looking to move at the moment, but decided to look at this video because the property being sold is in Orton, a village I like a lot. I almost bought a bungalow there a while back, but someone beat me to it. This property looks exceptional....although rather larger than I'd need!
