Thanks for sharing your voice. Loads of kids with CP (and other disabilities) are part of communities where the infrastructure and family income don't allow for isolation - this video is a good reminder to all of us who don't have a direct link to someone with a disability, or those of us who see ourselves as the low-risk groups (healthy, young, no respiratory issues) that we are not self-isolating for ourselves, but for one another as a larger South African community. Need more disability voices in this discussion for sure.

I’m thinking about doing this surgery and my doctor told me I was a good candidate for the procedure but it’s been awhile since I’ve spoken to my doctor actually since my last appointment with her and I’ve called twice and I haven’t gotten an answer so I don’t know when the surgery will happen

Great to hear someone share their story, there are a lot of things that are hard or weird to discuss with able bodied friends so it's nice to have some recognition! I have urinary incontinence due to my nerves not working properly and seeing what the different management options are to make my life a little easier. This was very useful, thank you!
