I live in southern Ontario, when talking about Toronto, most people I find tend to drop the first "o", and pronounce it "Tronto", or drop the first "o" and the second "t", saying "tronno". Was born in Calgary, though didn't live there long, but still have family there, the most common way I find people say it is to drop the "a" and pronounce it "Calgry"

Letterkenny definitely borrows a lot from very rural Canadian slang from across the country, but in a sort of hybridized way, healthy doses of Ontarian, Newfie, Nova Scotian and Prairie Province jargon. It is at once iconic and understandable for most of Canada, while regionally exclusive to lots of different parts of the country at different times. As a whole however, we honestly do speak like this all the time but in different ways and in different dialects.

It does say comedy (sorta) in the beginning of the wikipedia...sitcom = situation comedy 😜 but Letterkenny, the accents, the heavy slang is very Anytown Canada. Youd hear talk and slang like that in any city or town kegger across Canada. Thats why its so funny, i think.
