loved the vibe of the video
Looks terrific. I have this kit as well. Looking forward to building it. Would have loved to have seen a build video on this from you as you did such an awesome job.
Wow, looks like this kit is a real lemon. I'm glad I passed on it. Good job salvaging it.
I was disappointed. Thanks, I tried making something of it even though it is a lemon.
You should never have to "fix" a kit right out of the box. I have the original in the box and I built all the kits from the 70s and the old kit is a wonderful build. That could be nostalgia talking.
Shouldn't have gross inaccuracies like the rotation of the guns. Considering the beauty of Bandai kits, this kit gets a "why are you even here?" reaction from me.
I whole heartedly agree. That is one of the things that irks me. With today's reference and technology there is no excuse for getting details so wrong.
@@starsiegeplayer You hit it on the head about the inaccuracies. Such a huge a missed opportunity. It would have been a nice scale model if they had paid attention to detail.
I Think it came out nice 👍😃 I had major problems with the hood on mine also, but I managed to get a perfect fit with hot water 🙂
Thank you. I really appreciate that specially after seeing yours. Fantastic job!
Looks great.🤓👍
Wow! Thanks! I appreciate it!
Great looking build!!!!!!
Wow! Thanks! I appreciate it!
Wish I knew how to do this
Looks awesome
Thanks for both the video and the warning! I was hesitant to buy this because I couldn't find anywhere on the box what the size/dimension of the model was. I wasn't about to pay $30 for something that may be only twice the size of a matchbox car lol. Add to that the fact that I'm not as skilled as you are when it comes to fixing flaws in model kits etc. I'll avoid this and keep looking around.
I’m going to campaign for legal recognition for the Mandalorian faith That when the police stop me with my sword I can claim “ Weapons are part of my religion “ 😂
Hi was it hard to get his head off as mine won't come off?
It came off easily. Try removing it while running warm water over the figure.
I want a Real one ..... with a Manual transmission!!!!!
Just got my order from bigbadtoystore and it didn’t come with the stickers for the packages :(
It's in the box behind the inner paper board
Not one of my best but thank you. I believe that because the subject is painted white and I had a spotlight on it during photography, it hides the flaws. It does photograph well though. It is a beautiful car.
The result is stunning, you can be proud! I don't think I would even know how to fill all the gaps and correct imperfections so neatly, might have just assembled it as is.
Thank you. Weathering is one of my favorite processes in making these projects. It is PLA filament.
This is a great looking replica, looks 1 to 1 with the movie prop, I like the weathering you did, what kind of filament did you use to print this replica? PLA?
Finished product came out awesome.
Glad you like it!
Detalles agregados en las paredes laterales y en los puertos de servicio.
Also looks like a Halo Pistol.
Disculpa este halcón está customizado????
Nicely weathered, looking good. I was thinking to build this kit
You should!
What’s the barcode for this item?
I do not know the barcode. I no longer have the box.
This might be a late comment, but where did you buy this. Just wondering cause can’t really find it anywhere.
It was purchased from Ami Ami.
@@IAphexTwinI okay thx
What paint did you use for the main metal parts?
Starting with the emitter I used Krylon pewter. The upper grenade was painted with Model Masters Brass. The Graflex clamp was painted with Krylon Aluminum. The pommel was painted with Krylon Chrome.
How did you get the red Springs on the luggage rack so clean??
How are the springs so clean? They are weathered and grimy just like the rest of the rack. Maybe it isn't so obvious the way that it is lit.
@@IAphexTwinI I think he meant the segmentation from red to grey was really well done and he was expressing interest in your process because it looked really difficult. The springs themselves are grimy, but are also very "clean" as far as proper color separation.
@@smjsuperscott In that case I used a Grumbacher size 0 brush and a shaky hand. I did get red paint on the rod of the spring maybe four times or more which I touched up. In essence, with enough patience it can be done and really just have fun with it which is ultimately my goal.
espectacular!
Cool model! The shades are outstanding!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
I got one of those, they are very extremely delicate to use as they tend to break easily
Yeah but the marine should be bigger (either that, or the necron should be shorter).
👍👍👍Wow! Really good figures 💪💪!! i am uploading documentary videos of figures, if you could give them a quick look, i would love to know your opinion :)
this guy put tape on his heiland for the activtion box, and the grips are crooked. attention to detail when you decorate an antique
I made those sabre hilts for my kids with the available reference in the early 2000's because they wanted their own. I have an almost pristine Heiland with the correct details all lined up nice and pretty in a case as well as an almost perfect King Sol flash gun. By the way, the real screen used hilts do not have their details perfectly aligned either. ;-)
looks fantastic!! i cant wait to get one myself!
Thanks! You get one. It is a straight forward build and great fun to paint and weather.
*should
There is a glaring flaw in this model and you others never mention it! The canopy window is not clear plastic!I The promo photo shows a CLEAR window but that is not what we get. The window is a sickly, milky almost frosty quality made of cheap, crappy grade plastic. That pissed me off! How about the rest of you guys who bought this snowspeeder--is your window clear plastic? It should be! There needs to be a replacement part made available so the model can be properly be put on display!
Sehr gute Arbeit....very very good repainting.
Any tips on how you weather?
I started with a dark grey wash. This brings out all the lines and crevices. I then went with a yellow ochre wash in random areas. I repeated this process with brown, and black. This creates a layered dirty look that is convincing. I learned this from armor modeling. There are some great tutorials on youtube.
IAphexTwinI thank you very much you did a great job!! I’m going to have fun weathering mine!
Thank you Karl! That means a lot. I know you will have fun weathering yours. Don't rush it and enjoy. I'm working on a custom Special Forces Trooper at the moment. More to come.
Looks great! The only thing that is missing is deep dish wheels that are sticking out. That would have made the car look even meaner.
Funny you say that. I had three wheels from another build and couldn't locate the fourth one. I was completely on board with that idea.
I'm working on building one of these right now on a C96. Do you know what the flash hider is called?
M9 flash hider.
Great job!
I find it amusing that Lucasfilm couldn't care less about continuity regarding this blaster. There were so many DIFFERENT props for ONE character's gun and no two props were alike. They had rubber props whose left side had a center greeblie plate with cutouts and no scope ring mount. A non-firing working hammer prop whose left side front greeblies were mounted vertically instead of horizontally as well as BLACK scope nuts instead of brass AND it had the right side lower greeblie at the front and the front of the scope had a black front sight instead of a brass one and it had the left side center greeblie plate with the cutouts. Then the firing prop had NO right side front greeblie at all, the scope nuts were brass (like this one) the scope ring screw was a silver color and the scope front sight was brass colored also. There was NO left side center greeblie at all. Not cutout plate. The left side greeblies were mount horizontally, not vertically. All versions can be seen on screen when paused at the right moments. The rubber prop is when they were captured by the Ewoks and Han pulls his blaster The non-firing prop was held by a stormtrooper escorting Han and crew out of the bunker as well as seen on the ground next to the blaster Harrison Ford DID pick up during the confusion as well as in Han's holster when he was trying to hotwire the doors and held by Ford after the three squads exited the back door and he had that smirk. And naturally the firing prop was during the bunker battle.
You are so right on about that. There is a scene not used in the movie where Han enters the bunker with another blaster that is not even close to the others used in the rest of the movie.
@@IAphexTwinI Yeah! In the deleted scene when they had the fire fight with the stormtroopers, Han's blaster almost looked like the Greedo killer because the barrel and flash hider were so long. hahaha
The scope mount knobs. Are they brass or did you paint them brass? And the large head screws, did they come with the mount kit?
The knobs are brass. The large head screws came with the kit.
@@laphextwinl6293 Kit? What KIT are you referring to?
The mount kit.
@@laphextwinl6293 Seriously? How about you tell me who made it? Where you got it? What brand? Link to the website that sells it? ANYTHING but the most minimal answer.
You asked if the large head screws came with the mount kit. You did not ask the where/what/how of this kit.Realize that I picked up individual parts mainly and when fortunate a kit of parts for all five of the blasters around the same time frame which was early 2000-2001. This specific blaster I built with the help of Replica Prop Forum members Wakal and Gavidoc who provided me with the scope/mount and flash hider respectively. They had a wealth of knowledge and I couldn't have completed any of my blasters without them. They even gave me extra parts for my other blasters.
A Titan killer
Selling it? 😁
Can the wheels roll or turn at all?
Thanks PreBanGaming! I had left the hobby for years and this was maybe my third model getting back into it. When I saw this kit I had to buy it and build it. This is one of my earliest attempts at weathering as well. Adding lights is great idea. I did add lights to the Battlestar Galactica also among my videos .
That is awesome. I don't have anything that I could tell you on how to make it look any better, as there is no way lol. I do however, have an idea for you. If your top still pulls off, for less than 10.00 you can go to radio shack and put a AAA battery in it connected to some led lights which you can scratch up and make stay solid, or flicker as if they are about to go out. I know that's going a bit overboard, but I do it with my new shadowswords and stormlords (lights on and functioning, paint job pristine, not rusted cool like that). It's actually pretty easy to do, and would look cool as hell with two or three flickering lights. It's a guilty pleasure lol. The paint job is 20 out of ten mate. Looks like you dragged it up from the titanic wreckage!
Actualy I like it much :) You may also try make it more "survival" kind of look. #LeftOnJakku
Travis Williamson6 months agoYeah cool!!! But HOW......?-But HOW what? I don't understand.
Chris-The bubble strip should fit either clamp. The edges of the bubble strips were rough and after a light sanding they slid perfectly into place. i can't wait to see your finished sabre. Happy prop making!
