did i get your explanation right if get from it that I just need to write down to command line "pip install numpy" to use numpy inside grasshopper?
You are good at coding. It is there any way to code a timer in Grasshopper that have a reset buton and that don't began to run as soon as I am opening the GH definition? I do found a few ones but all of them do began to run as soon as I am opening the definition which is pointless. I do need a counter that began to run only when it is triggered by some True boolean state. I do need this to trigger a few Elefront Bake components but only when the output geometry it is ready for export. I do still use Rhino7. Thank you.

Really cool video Michael. Thank you for the great work. I'm having some issues setting up the ghhops-server and Flask . Basically it asks me to install CMake and then it doesn't build the rhino.exe instance. I cannot find any solutions for this issue in the rhino forum. Can you point me in any direction?
I know it's months later, but for anyone else who has the same problem- the solution is to use Python 3.10 instead of a more recent version when installing the gh_hops server and flask.

After a failing attempt in gh_remote just like you said I will try this method. The incompatibility of the Python version with external libraries was very problematic in the class element. Thanks for the vid!

Im attempting to use this with a virtual environment not created by anaconda. I have python 2.7, numby, matplotlib, and ghpython remote on this python 2.7 virtual environment, but when I link the folder location of the python 2.7 exe file, it is unable to reference those libraries. Im unsure if this is because I did it without conda, or if something else is happening?

Great video. Here's a tip from a fellow grasshopper user: You may know this, but you can double click on the slider of number slider to type a number directly - that way you don't need to lock/unlock the solver when editing.

Very cool video! You can also use e.g. answer.strip() method to remove the whitespaces before and after the output string. I have written my own component to not only request through API, but also execute the answer code directly in the component and output the geometry rather then copy/pasting into an additional python script instance. If you re interested I can share it with you.

I had an interesting experience with chatGPT trying out some generic C# and Python programs. But it seems that copilot has a better understanding of the RhinoCommon SDK. I'm going to give it a try with Copilot. I think that AI coding has the potential to revolutionize programming in the future. Instead of writing low-level code, we would simply provide high-level instructions for the logic of the program. This would make programming much more accessible and efficient. I'm excited to see where copilot and other similar tools go in the future.

when is the code executed ? when you save the file ?
The script Parasite plugin allows you to update the C# node in grasshopper from VSC but you still need to hit play/run on the C# node in grasshopper to run the script to Rhino environment.
