For anyone reading this procedure two years later, the fluid should be slowly dripping out of the overflow when the fluid temperature is 40°F or less. YOU SHOULD NOT check the level after the fluid has warmed up!!!! There is no need to run the engine until it reaches operating temperature, and the cooling fan turns on. Many DIYers get this wrong.

Thanks for sharing! We also have a 3 series convertible that has plenty of how to's on youTube. Our 2006 s-type V6 is my favorite car of many since 1975 but NOT a favorite to work on. A very powerful automatic carwash blew water on the engine frying the coil seats so getting that mess straightened out, I went by the book of first step removing the wiper arm to get at the back of the intake manifold wires to disconnect them for removal. It is probably possible to do it, blind feel with little hands, but not the first unknowing time. I'm sure others will appreciate any more s-type videos you produce.

Are you sure you're not bending the pulley by doing that? service manual specifies that by creating force from the outside of the pulley instead of the holes near the axis will bend it, and this slight minimal distortion of the pulley will create vibrations that, as the manual says, will damage the gearbox

If he had been installing a Lexus OEM cabin filter in the video then yes, the filter should be installed with the arrow on the filter pointing up. However, he’s clearly using an after-market filter as the arrow on the filter has “air flow” written beside it. Therefore he installed the filter upside-down in the video as the arrow should be pointing downward, as that’s the direction of the air flow. Other than that, the video is helpful in that it clearly shows the location of the cabin filter, how to get to it, and how to replace it.
