Interesting route. I’m assuming you get off at 31st and go to the 59th St. Bridge to avoid tolls, instead of taking the Triborough Brdg to FDR? How much longer does this route take? (or does it save time?)

Very poor video. Rye has some of the swankiest residential enclaves in the NYC region, i.e., Milton Point, Greenhaven, Manursing Island, waterfront estates, golf club mansions. etc., also a beautiful high school campus, historic churches, beautiful tree lined streets, an historic amusement park, and lovely coastline. This video just featured the downtown area and I-95 corridor to NYC.

You should have remained on Boston Post Road and not turn.

Greenpoint is divided by the Merker Ave Bridge. Willamsburg is nice I grew up thier in the early 50s it was a friendly nieghborhood and very well protected. We played in the Tenike housing project the park is still there PS 18 my first days of school and the Maujer St. Clinic is still there. St Marys was a warm place the Nuns were kind. Sister Gerome and Sister Melanie comes to mind. I remember the Bianco family and Chiachella family they were our nieghbors also a really friendly family hispanic but can't recall the last name thier were four children Rebeca Easter Sammy maybe it was three. The family invited me for breakfast I had my first cup of coffee but kept that to myself after all I think I was 7 or 8 yrs old. We had Petes Candy store Sing Lee Laundry and Italian private clubs located on three different corners. They would rent thier spaces for family celebrations. It was cool. My first visit for a engagment party took place at Our Lady of snow I was amazed of the size . I was invited by my friend Antoinette Chirracella had the best party I ever attended. When I pass on the 43 bus I always look to be sure Our Lady iof Snow is still there. My friend Antoinette passed some years ago but will always remain in my heart. I found out from a friend Mary Duffy sha knew everyone. I live in Greenpoint since 1964 but my heart is filled with the great memories of Willamburg. We ventured out and would walk over the Willamsburg Brigde to Delancey St to shop for coats or what ever we needed that was fun because we would stop and eat knishes and malteds. Bklyn is the Best Borough in my opinion. Those were the days we were so carefree. Unfortunately its not the same for our young ones.n

Nice ride along, once u hit the Bronx u basically travelled across the Bronx from the 6 train side while passing by the 2&5 Pelham Pkwy, followed by Moshulu and the 4 while ending up on the Riverdale side of the Bronx. Really nice drive
