I remember this episode when it aired. This was the peak of lads mags culture and Dominic Diamond passively flirting with models was a hero. We'd go out get drunk on proper strength lager that was 5.2% or above on tap from a nightclub. Then get a oily curry sauce on chips or KFC as we staggered on the way home during UK college. Dominic Diamond is married (not to Whigfield) and is a normal bloke in real life. He had issues with insomnia and depression as did the editor of FHM magazine.

This was given away free many years ago with an edition of the magazine. Great show back in the day.

I think Dave does come off as a dick but considering the console and game weren't out in the UK and how warped the n64 controller was I can understand his frustration at least at the time.

I think he did get some practice in, knew it was a not-very-subtle setup and went for the shortcut hoping to win anyway and with a wink at the camera, "You can't beat The Master!" Instead he missed the track underneath as its quite difficult to land on and just ran with the victim script as a salty backup.

Turns out the end of GamesMaster was just a warm up for many future life disappointments

I always hated Dominic Diamond always full of himself, not funny and a bit of a bore When Dexter fletcher took over for me it improved I enjoyed the show as a kid it was difference to anything else around at the time
