I remember being really enchanted by his book, The Way of Wizards. My copy is over on the shelf, I go back to it sometimes, still as amazed as ever with his illustrations.
I will be driving down there with my wife and kids here in a week. We are staying at an air bnb in North Port, but we plan on visiting towns around the area including Naples and Siesta Key. I found this rum by accident online when I was scouting out liquor stores in the area. Thier toasted coconut sounds amazing. I read that they actually use coconut in the wash/mash while fermenting the molasses. That lets me know that it’s not artificial flavoring like the crappy Malibu stuff.

When I was a kid I was obsessed with wizardry, I bought his book (The way of wizards?) with, I don't know, 10 years of age? It let me escape to a magical and incredible place. I'm truly grateful for Toom Cook's art, and I may not believe in wizards anymore, but it surely has shaped how I see the world and I will always be that wizard deep in my heart, in big part thanks to his art.

I wonder why Nick’s bios never cover his time at Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, WI. He had his first tennis academy there for several years, before Florida. He had tennis legends visit and play with the campers, including Stan Smith and Arthur Ashe. Very odd that this chapter of his life/career is never covered. He was there in the late 60’s to mid 70’s.

I lived and trained at the Academy for a year before it was IMG in the early days ‘83 - ‘84. It was run like boot camp as Nick was military. An experience to put it mildly. Not all bad, learned how to crush a tennis ball.

His time in Johnny Winter And is really glossed over. And that was what pulled him out of being seen as doing bubblegum music and viewed as not a real musician. Derringer joined Edgar after Johnny's And disbanded due to Johnny's heroin habit.

I'd much rather take a train than a plane on a vacation. Unfortunately for me, taking a train to where I go on vacation requires me to drive about 200 miles to board the train to my destination, which is only about 600 miles from home. Then, the remainder of the trip by train would take another 14 hours if the train stays on schedule so, I just keep on driving. Driving is also still cheaper and faster than flying because where I live and where I go don't have large airports close by.

Jen Noble There seem to be no recordings on CZcams which show Lilette’s skills when she was working in her prime. Given the high regard in which she was held, and the big names with whom she played, surely there must be something? I really enjoyed learning about the song that Nat King Cole wrote for her. It is a marvelous piece, and at least that one I can find.

As a kid I found a injured Appaloosa mustang in a rose field. Later on she became my childhood horse named Rosa. For the field and her chestnut color. She taught me a lot of things about myself, but the biggest thing she taught me was to never give up on anything. Rosa died about five month after I was 14. She was the best horse a kid like me could've asked for.
NO to path forward! If this passes it means that 200000 horses will be rounded up over time and it will be the destruction of our beautiful wild horses; fight the BLM plan; advocate for NO to PATH FORWARD!
Is it better to round up and find homes for 200000 feral horses, or to let them over graze their habitat and die from starvation? There are already more horses than the habitat can support, birth control methods have (and still are) been tried and are ineffective. In the past the herds were culled (read killed) to keep the population in check. In 1971 a law was passed that banned the killing of these feral horses. Since birth control is ineffective the only options we currently have are to either capture and tame them or let them die of starvation. Which do you prefer?
