RIP Robert and Charlie ❤love yall
These lyrics are horrible! You can tell they were just trying to rhyme words, lol. This band was from Dallas and I was big into the local music scene in Deep Ellum. Never could stand this generic band.
❤organtastic
Not just another Disney medley, and that Kimball 3/66 TPO is amazingly well balanced. Lucky kids!
It's one thing to listen to this some years later but quite another when you remember when you were there and witnessed two very important Rock and Roll truth's. First, when these two harmonized there was nothing else like it. It always worked and never faltered. For many it's the unmistakable stylings of Brian ,Carl and Dennis that do the trick. For me it was always Jerry and Bill. It's really hard to describe but as good as these two were as solo artists they were that much better together. So glad I got to meet the guys who played on my favorite albums and one who ended up teaching me quite a bit in and out of the studio. The next item that was, in my opinion, an anomaly was the high notes and range exhibited by Mr. Bill Kelly. Sometimes his range had it's own solar system because it was just so far out of anything I'd heard previously. As the years went on life does the thing it can do and time spent with those we intend falls by the wayside of good intentions. Don't waste the time when it's available. There's never another replay when it's not.
what disney songs does he plays
I Heard There Was An Original Recording Of Timothy That Showed Towards The End Of The Song That The Narrator Indeed Realized To His Horror What Had Befallen His Friend Timothy! Is That True or Not? from South Louisiana.
The original recording was under the band name The Buoys Two of the members play with Dakoda . And I think you may be right
This song almost sounds like it could be a tom petty B side. Believe me, that's fairly high praise.
Great playing!! Amazing Organ! Fantastic!!
Super excellent music
❤️
Stunning playing Dave .........but I need to go stick my head down a toilet........ oh , too late. Carrots! Hold the damn camera still !
The meeting of the song "Timothy" with the voice and style of lead singer Bill Kelly is one of those fortuitous combinations that come along every once in a while and make magic together! To this very day the magic still happens every time Bill performs the song. Not to mention that almost 50 years later he can still hit and hold those notes! This unplugged interim performance proves that you don't need those catchy horns and strings from the record, or even a full band, to make the thrills happen. Thanks to Rupert Holmes and Bill Kelly for creating together one of my favorite things ever in pop music! (Love those harmonies, too, Jerry!)
the photography wasn't the best but the music was beautiful <3
Love the Beatles !
Love the full body sound of the theatre organ. Music was awesome. Get a new cinematographer. My 6 year old grandson could have done a better job shooting that video. Absolutely HORRIBLE. And fire the person who hired that poorest excuse of a camera person EVER!!
Oh stop blabbering on ! It is what it is.
They clearly did it for free. Would you rather not have ever seen the performance?
❤️
From perhaps one of the finest Rock and Roll albums I've ever heard: The Jerry Kelly Band, "Somebody Else's Dream." Every song on this project is a piece of perfection. Check it out.
always a great time with the Hometown Buoys
i love it
I used to watch this when he and I lived 1,700 miles apart. Thank you for capturing this moment
❤
The best way to enjoy the "video" is to not watch it! The photographer would make anyone dizzy with all of the movement. That person should invest in a stabilizing stick to capture performances. This was a serious detraction, however, it was good that he/she captured this performance of a wonderful musician. Pulling registration, and interpreting from the memory (who has time to read and do all the other things necessary to play a multi keyboard pipe organ?)are in the skilled hands of Dave Wickerham. So, thank you Dave -- and by extension to the photographer. The music stands on its own anyway.
Agreed re the photography; a total distraction
Compare this with the video of Richard Hills. Same photographer, better cameras.
Sir I am so glad that someone is carrying on the organ I am Edwin sawtelle great grandson my father was Allen sawtelle his grandson my name is prentice sawtelle
All this wonderful music without any sheet music.. Holy Mackerel !
There's 3 other bands with the same band name...
Love this song Phillip!!
They sound great...
Dave will be at The Blackwood Estate in Harrisville Pa. twice this year on The Mighty Blackwood Wurlitzer.
awesome job
"bad...bad,,,dude cant hit the notes (has a girl singing the high parts)
where can I get this song?!
Awesome!!!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this
Man wish my school had one of these when I was a youth! Very cool!
We had one at my high school. The blitz room had one.
Not many high schools have a theatre pipe organ. Is this an original installation?
Nope, it came from the Boyd Theatre in Philadelphia, and has been massively enlarged with a finely-judged assortment of ranks. It's not an original Kimball by any means... what it is, is a fantastic modern orchestral organ, with all the theatrical stuff and a range of more classical stops, from a metal 32ft/16ft Bombarde, unenclosed 16ft wood and metal diapasons in the Pedal, a 3-rank mixture in the Main chamber, a straight diapason chorus from 4' through to 1' and a 4-rank mixture in the Solo. www.dtoskimball.org/about/organ-tour/chamber-analysis/
Peterborough Regional College here in Cambridgeshire, does apparently. A nice looking 2 manual Wuritzer. They have concerts ( before covid anyway ) but I've never been lucky enough to get to one
Dave's interpretations are pure genius. All at the River City Theatre Organ Society really appreciate his talent.
While the music is nice on CZcams, it's even better at a concert. You can feel the music in person .
MaryAnn: some of us are indeed privileged, I often am.....!
Good! I liked this.
Not bad, might come out and see youz tonight. Get that bassist to dress like a person who has their shit together though.
Danny that is insane great sound man !!
hot stuff as usual!

These guys totally smoked last night!
Great show !!
Here it is!!!
Awesome! Sorry that my big fat arm was in the way lol Did you film their whole set? I notice there's a (1) in the title, so is there a (2) video too?
