I had a pretty similar experience. Everyone kept saying that part 1 is the weakest etc etc but then I LOVED Part 1. Then I lost all interest a few episodes into part 2. Still want to give it a shot though cause maybe it gets better again.

I think you'll be fine. Most of the things you likes about Pt1 are inherent to the rest of the series, some even moreso. I'd absolutely love to see a similar video on each new part. Part 3 and onward start getting a little longer too, so honestly maybe even two videos for some of them. (you'll know when, there starts getting to be a LOT to talk about). Glad you enjoyed it!

Dawn is an interesting read. Creepy, almost reads like a thriller. I loved it. The series gets better. I just finished Adulthood Rites and enjoyed it even 26:14 more than Dawn. I’m a Butler fan now.

While I also have a problem with sanji and his pervertedness, I think this was actually the best way to go about it. The strawhats just got done training in order to be more dependable to the crew. If sanji got hurt badly a day into their return, even if it was to save someone, it would severely undercut their progress. This was admittedly a great way to introduce the blood transfusion without having to demean their power increase.

I love that you enjoyed this part so much! It has some turn offs for a lot of people, but I really like it too. Much like you've been told "Just get through Part 1, it'll get good", me and my friends started watching Part 1 just expecting a dumb meme show and were quickly surprised how good it actually was. So while Part 1 is far from my favorite (I think you'll love Part 2 even more), it absolutely is where I fell in love with Jojos!

Bras Cubas is the real masterpiece! And Machado is the great Master!

I loved these early, shorter JoJo story arcs, but ended up losing interest in the middle of Stardust Crusaders... ... ...which is just entirely too long and formulaic.

Definitely do it as per part each one is pretty unique.

(spoiler incoming) One of the wildest things to me was the flashback of Frieren helping young Himmel out when he was lost in the forest. I think Frieren’s random act of kindness is probably what shaped Himmel into the hero that he was and inspired him to go out of his way to help people.

The thing about Jojo's is that the main character is actually the author himself and each part is him leveling up as both a storyteller and an artist. The whole time you're seeing someone unapologetically will their way into mastering a craft to where even the stuff that doesn't work well... you still kiiiinda have to respect because he aimed so high. He even wrote a book on what he learned as a mangaka throughout the years and even explained his process in a technique that he developed called, "The Golden Path." Which I swear, might be the closest thing to a real life power system XD

Happy that you mentioned the monologues. Of course JoJo has it's heartfelt and iconic lines. But the hyper specific, most out of pocket metaphores and similes also stick in my mind. For everytime I think about Dio pleading with Jonathan only to realize he's dead, I also remember Dio yelling shit like "Even more disgusting than frog urine!"
