This boss fight is a balancing act of kighting her to where you want her to be, but not getting too far away from her, but also not staying too close too her.

I just find it funny that the people that are doing Let's plays is will read that They need to do a plunging attack, and then stand on the ledge and talk about the game telling them to do a plunging attack and then wonder why the game took away their opportunity to plunge attack after they've stood there for 2 minutes, Instead of taking their opportunity that the game gives sparingly.

I think this is my favorite ds3 boss. It's hard as balls and the third phase reveal, my god is it good! They even gave you the slap after the second phase! That's cheating, and I absolutely loved it!

I recently got me a PS5 and finally could play Bloodborne. Such a good game. Surprisingly the DLC bosses were not a real challenge. as Maria went down on the third try, Orphan on second an Laurence on first try (I fought him as the last boss of the DLC). They key is very simple. Just dodge to the left. As you see in these try’s, way to much dodging to the right and backwards. Follow that strat, and they all should be down easily. What surely helped me with her, was fighting Nameless puppet in Lies of P on several playthroughs, but of course, that help wasn’t available back then. But my fav boss,which also took me more attempts, was Ludwig, especially the second phase is crazy good with some of the best boss music. So I didn’t even mind dying a few times.

Everything in this boss looks apocalyptic: the moveset, the sound design, the music, the fx etc, clearly one of the greatest boss in video games history
