Problem with DIN valve is if the threads are worn out, or tank is over pressure then the valve will fly off. I had one valve fly off on my brand new tank, and it was a scary event. With Yoke valve, it grabs the tank on all four sides. So this fly-off problem doesn't happen and I prefer Yoke more.

Great Video ! Could you tell me what type of wrench/pliers you are using in the video (with orange handle)? It looks like self adjusting pliers with smooth jaws. Thanks for any info on type and brand or model number.

If the 1st stage is balanced, then does it matter if the 2nd stage is balanced or not? Since with a balanced 1st stage, the pressure should remain constant wether the tank is full or empty.

Does any of the Vader users here are having water leaking issue like I and my dive buddy are having? For unknown reasons, we keep having our mask flooded (slowly) particularly when we are using Vader Mask. My other 3 masks never gives me such issue.

New to this question? Stores selling things sometimes imply that unbalanced regulators are suitable for only shallow dives? This is not true? All regulators compensate for depth in the same way. I looked it up LOL. Air thing may be over stated for selling purposes? 2cents

Again, a very informative video. It's very useful to know about adjusting the balanced regulator when using a DPV. I'd also forgotten about putting a finger over the mouthpiece of a freeflowing regulator (which happened to me at the weekend. I quickly closed the ventura instead). I do have a question. My S600 is getting hard to breathe. Do you think a quick adjustment to the spring (in the barrel) will fix this? I don't necessarily want to take in my whole regulator set for a service. It's expensive to do this. Thank you! (And please don't forget about making a video comparing a balanced piston 1st stage with a balanced diaphragm 1st stage. :)

Another very clear explanation. Thank you. Actually, I have the Scubapro MK25 Evo + S600. For quite a long time, my S600 hasn't been breathing very smoothly. I was wondering why. It's not a problem with the first stage as this has been tested. After watching your video, I'm thinking it might be an issue with the balancing mechanics within the S600 itself. So, time to pay for a service, I suppose. :)

I have like 1 vyper and 2 zoop always rainced in fresh water after use and they gave me like around 1000 dives and then died even had pass 2 battery changes with no issues. Don't know if it's obsolescence programed from factory, I'm guessing. Once I had a brand new watec from scubapro and when it got 999 dives and change to 1000 dives got dead because of the software. Luckily that time I send it to scubapro and they replace it for a new one. Not same with Suunto.
