Music videos.
I use existing content from around the web to make my videos. I enjoy the challenge of trying to capture the mood and meaning (whether that is my own interpretation or a more widely held perspective) of music using recycled material and usually there is some sort of narrative tying together my representations. In this sense my videos are quite direct, even if the style of most of them is a little more impressionistic or even abstract at times.

Today marks the 14th Year Anniversary (22nd July 2010) of me experiencing the sound of Burial & Clubroot for the first time. It was during the Golden Age of Xbox 360 (when lastfm was still available). I was scrobbling through my usual choice of Dubstep, Dancehall, Reggae and Grime until I was hit with: - Clubroot - Serendipity Dub - And then right after, Bloc Party - Where Is Home? (Burial Remix). I've been listening to these two artists ever since. I'll be leaving this comment as a sort of virtual time capsule on all associated videos I can find for me to possibly find in the future.

How.., how does this not have more views. Perfectly envisioned associations of London’s underground with burials music. Static, color palette, emptiness. Like it was fully imagined before the video was curated. These vids are phenomenal.
Thanks for the kind words! I guess most people are after the whole tune; plus, this was made long after the hype had died down. Personally, it feels a bit on the nose now, and I was never too sure about sticking the woman in at the end as it makes the singing perhaps too human - I always felt like his voices were more like faint traces left behind or signals pulled out of the air, but I still kept putting people in the videos I made... go figure. If you're interested, the documentary I cribbed the footage from is probably still on CZcams: it was called 'Ghosts on the Underground' or something similar.
