I worked in a bar in Paris in the 90's and we initially had Erdinger in bottles before switching to draft. Having poured ~25,000 bottles of Erdinger and Schneider, I know the importance of first wetting the glass. I took pity on bar staff here in the United States, having watched them struggle with pouring into a dry glass, I let them in on the secret; I got more than one free drink as a result.

Love love love Erdinger foam and all and I do drink 2 every night, I’m retired so why not. It’s the only Beer I drink, don’t like any other Beer. Erdinger 100% great Beer.

German beer is very good, but so are the 1,000s of craft brews in America….

So the reason is simply so the bars can get away with charging for a pint whilst only giving you half? I don't get it. Foam is not beer.

Need more suppliers for Erdinger in Liverpool... You have a fantastic range of beers and they should be able to be enjoyed more often. Matt you lucky lucky boy getting to do the taste test 🤤🥺

We recently filmed an episode here in the Dovedale Towers and will be telling people about Freddie Mercury living there in 1969/1970. Plus Lennon & McCartney BOTH having played there in their youth. Cleaning the glass also matters since the glasses are slightly harder to clean.
